He’s a power seller with a good feedback score, and has been since feb 2005. The only real neg feedback he has is from idiots not understanding what pre-order means “wahhh i ordered 2 weeks ago and it still hasn’t arrived!”. I don’t think it’s a scam at all, my only worry would be that he couldn’t meet potential demand.
I’d order right now, but it doesn’t seem to include that nice looking bridge in Brooklyn.
edit:
“Pre-Order Due For Release 30th March” strikes me as dishonest, and the price seems questionable. Yes, I know the big guys make up release dates too. That doesn’t make it right.
Thanks for the concern but I have, after much bitter experience, chosen to bank such funds as I have with, you know, an actual bank.
Why not just wait till its in the shops he cant sell it untill then anyway not worth taking the risk your gonna get the same time anyway

Stated on his front page when you click his name
“Please Note release date are correct at time of listing and are subject to change.—”
I don’t see a problem here, because he does all his selling from ebay he’s a scam artist? No neg feedback to say anything of the sort, he is a power seller, has been active for 2 years. I’m pretty sure you’d have to have some sort of release date on pre-orders… as i think “who knows?” would put customers off. I wouldn’t exactly say it’s an unrealistic date either…
Just another guy trying to make his way in the big e-world
It cannot be correct because there is no official release date. Saying that it is correct at the time of listing implies that people can reasonably expect to get it around that date. “Pre-Order Due For Release 30th March” gives the impression.
If you are selling pre-orders of a game whose official release date is still “when it’s done”, it strikes me as dishonest to not make that obvious in the listing. If that puts customers off, that’s what you get for selling a product when there is no reliable ETA.
I’m not saying it’s a scam, but it isn’t exactly up front either.
Not to mention due to the Activision press release theres no way that it can be out by March 30. April 1st at the earliest.
im from germany… mmh… should i give it a try? i dunno why, but it looks littlebit suspecious to me :?
…and besides all that, is it really worth paying 64 big ones just for a pre-order? even though the game has not officially gone gold yet?
PS If you look at the shipping distinations, it says ships to the US. Why would I pre-order something from over seas when I can just wait and get it in my home country…
strange, very strange…
Besides, won’t you have to wait til some servers are up fisrt before you can play it? Or will it have a single-player (or bot) mode for practice?
Looks like Newegg.com is taking pre-orders at this time also…

I emailed the guy on ebay about how he knew the release date was going to be March 30th…
Here is his response:
“No, I just look on-line lol And its been delayed anyways to the 25th of May”
I hope that puts to rest any speculation about the exact release date…
I remember seeing ET: Quake Wars boxes last summer or maybe last October in a Gamestop near where I live. I knew it wasn’t going to be available till March at the time, so I didn’t bother.
The only reason to pre-order if it includes an invite to an alpha or beta test, including opportunities to give feedback that might actually be taken into consideration, for example what Ironclad and Stardock are doing with the upcoming Sins of a Solar Empire (and what Stardock has done with their Galactic Civilizations series), otherwise just wait until it’s in the shop.
