Quiet In These Here Parts...

(Zekariah) #1

I’ve been dropping off in my SD Forums attendance lately…unfortunately I have a bad case of Gears fever and have to take a few “sick” days here and there.

But it appears there are more than a few others taking some form of leave from here lately…the same threads seem to be up front for some time.

I hope it doesn’t drop away entirely since the SD Forums were the first gaming forums I’ve taken part in and I have really enjoyed being part of this community. What’s more Ive made some good friends and teammates here too.

Might be time for another announcement to get everyone buzzing again.

Hmm have you been on the epic forums lately thats were ive been posting since not many preople are on these forums all of a sudden

Man-Flu. It real and it’s an epidemic.

(wolfnemesis75) #4

I check in from time to time to see if there’s news.

(Spendlove) #5

I think the problem is there isn’t anything to discuss and if there was there are certain members on here unable to discuss it without being a prat.

Mmm, not sure that’s the right term. Throbblefoot took all last week off to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution. (That was PTO after a promotion btw… sweet.)

Awesome

Really enjoyed that game (still on my second playthrough) but then again I’m a cyberpunk junky so anything with cybernetics grabs my attention.

(DarkangelUK) #8

That’s new, a ‘fan’ lowering the tone.

There’s nothing left to talk about. The people still playing will need to find new topics…

It was an exceptional game - reminded me of the first one. It was really well polished, had great voice acting, great environments, great depth and fun to play, definitely a 9/10. I beat it on hard without killing anyone and then I sent it back to Gamefly…unfortunately, not in time, so I didn’t have an empty slot ready for Dead Island :frowning:

You didn’t kill Barrett?

zenstar, why the heck aren’t you playing dystopia or neotokyo?!?! seriously, the weapons and pieces in neotokyo and ideas and abilities from dystopia put deus ex hr to shame!!! mp with cloak, vision modes, awesome weapons, and dystopia has a separate cyberspace where you have to hack objectives but you might find yourself squaring off against enemy hackers. geeez loooooeeeeeezzzz where ya beeen?!

NT gameplay (music from its soundtrack)

super rad dystopia trailer

Both of these games are free source engine mods. I prefer NT personally. Brink could have used either one as examples of balanced body types of light/balanced/heavy with unique abilities and load outs.

DarkangelUK is the first to prove my point. Which is a shame as he/she isn’t one of the prats I was on about.

(DarkangelUK) #13

So you derail a thread, continue to derail by name calling… and think somehow you’re not the criteria you’re tagging on others? You’re beyond a prat m8, you’re tw@

(Jimmy James) #14

I’m not intending to derail the thread further but: “tw at sign”? WTF is that supposed to mean?!?!

He’s too busy fanboying brink.

NT was pretty bad honestly. It had an amazing concept but it was just never “fun” to play. Dystopia on the other hand, is still the best hl2 mod imo. Population is probably nearly dead but its a super polished game.

(Jimmy James) #16

Actually, both of those videos are so boring that I couldn’t watch them for more than a few seconds. Get to the fireworks factory already!!!

Starts to sob like Milhouse

Boss fights don’t count - you have to kill them. I was referring to this

Think harder and more British, or maybe you have never heard the word before.

(Spendlove) #19

And again. Point proved. Conclusion learned. Brink forum is dead because the “old guard” can’t play nice and always want it there own way. Such a shame. Forum killed by it’s own users.

(INF3RN0) #20

Plenty of talking has been done. Now we all wait for the next game from SD to see if they listened. If someone tries to send the message that Brink was a step in the right direction, well then we burn em alive :).
