some of the textures in the screen shots look low quality and some of them look ok and other just suck why is that.
here are the reasons i could think of if you want to give feedback that would be great. also i am still going to get the game i just want to know what is up with the textures
if you can’t comment directly then just tell me if my reasons are correct.

There is a good chance that the game will have better textures then shown in the screens because applying HI-quality textures slows down the rendering and makes no difference to the play testers. why would you apply high textures in a beta/alpha build? it just would slow down the bug hunting and wast time.

it is a multiplayer game so it might have lower textures to prevent lag.

Call of duty 2/3 use the quake 3 engine (with an improved rendering system) so i don’t see why they would not have improved the Doom 3 rendering system, they have added so many features from Mega-textures to open Al sound.

they have said that the map textures are Gigabytes in size and have been compressed to 8 megs to save space that could be the real reason. they don’t want to install 10 gig of crap on your drive like some games do.
