What are the best settings 2 code a video in divx ??

Cuz sometimes im getting those crap pixxels :smiley:

Read Gearbolt’s guide.

In my experience XviD will give you higher quality than DivX with the same bitrate. Even Microsoft’s MPEG encoder worked better for me, but since the decoder is only available on Win32 platforms (afaik) I would say that XviD is a better choice.

Use xvid tbh and drop divx imo :wink:

And after having checked the above linked guide you might also want to read through the Gordian Knot tutorial I wrote. It will basically show you how to perform a compressibility test, and then use the returned settings for a two-pass encoding run. You can also encode your audio track via GKnot. The guide uses DivX, but you might as well use XviD, although I doubt that GKnot (at least the compressibility test) yet supports the most recent v1 XviD development binaries.
