question about /r_shownormals 1

I play ET and I have just found some demos of cheaters and found out about using the /r_shownormals 1 to see them cheating. I am wondering this: Can I use that command in game while specing or can I only record the demo and then use it on the demo? Cheating to me is utterly reprehensible and I’d love to bust anyone doing it. Thanks!

you can only do it on a server with sv_cheats 1. So in short, you can’t use r_shownormals in game when specing a player

…otherwise you could do it when playing and, well, the lame people wouldnt need to make external programs for wallhacks :wink:

OK cool. I hardly ever suspect people are cheating but now I know how to possibly bust the ones I do suspect.Thanks.
