Question about Gun Customization

I don’t want weapon customization because it brings a whole another level of micromanagement to each character (since each character has a unique weapon/sidearm). That isn’t fun and eventually the customization blurs the advantages and negatives of individual weapons. If you want customization and perks, earned through a form of rewards program, then lets implement loadout bags that can be applied to ANYONE on the go which we can select alongside our character pick. The only con with the loadout bag approach is that you will likely not see any aesthetic change to your guns, but I really don’t care about gun aesthetics to begin with.

I hate to be aggressive toward people who do, but I don’t think this game series was ever intended for people who like the gun "porn’ aspect of FPS’s (looking back at the whole ET line before Brink). If you do like it a lot, then I think you should be playing Crysis or one of the other modern FPS’s that feature mass attachments.

I think resources should be applied to polish and more unique characters with their own set of unique abilities. They can sell the characters for money or give away via credits - and it opens up more avenues for money in the form of skins for the characters. I don’t see individual skins for guns selling as much as skins for whole characters - especially if the skin for the character also includes a new skin for the guns that character wields.

I don’t give a rats ass about gun porn, I’m talking about a way for SD to make money on different sight profiles, none of these make any difference to damage profile, just personalize weapons. I prefer a 4 power illuminated reticule sight to my buddies 3x9 power scope on a SKS, neither make the weapon more powerful. It’s preference that SD can profit by, People need to think real before imaginary
