who cares if there is blood n gore or not, ok so it be nice I would have
the option switched on of course but but like BF2 for some reason you
dont notice it, as there is too much goin on to go oh i wonder if hes dead
cos there is no blood pouring from him body hmm will have to go over
and shoot him some more just to make sure!

All this realism is giving me a headache i rather prefer to have
destrutable walls, buildings and roads that when u drop c4 on it it
blows a ruddy big hole in it, than blood!!

No blood in this game for me is a very bad thing…i’m not a fanatic about it, but simply 'cause “no gore” means the game will be released also for a teenagers target: and we all know how dumb teenagers can be in a team-based FPS.
I would like better if this game will be reserved only for matures gamers.

Wolf :ET had minor blood splatter and if you were killed by an explosion theres a strong possibility your arse would be found 10’ from your legs. As usual I’ll continue to look at released games for guidance as to what will be in new games.

ET games are well known pub playing games, maybe the occasional clan match. Definately not a “pro” FPS title by any means. I think the actual pros are going to continue playing games like Counter-Strike, Painkiller, and the upcoming Severity which is funded by The CPL.

true, both were not played as much in competition as counter strike but that doesn’t make it worse for clan matches it’s just not as popular. at least when I played competitive ET the matches didn’t lack any of the professionality I got with CSS

some good argument. I hope the will be released a extra version for Teen Rating. I will buy the Adult Version fom UK via okaysoft.de in Germany. @Ghiacciolo: Also a very good argument. For Adults Gore is an acceptable Entertainment Mode. Look at Doom, Quake 4 or others. I am an Americas Army Player from Heart, but i also other games with love.

i just feel i have to post my disgust at this reply. It holds no truth and is just insulting to younger gamers. Also the fact you think a games developers would cut out all teen sales because you think that teenage gamers are worse than older players

Good teamwork is the sign of maturity, something teens generally lack. That’s why a “Mature” rating might help more than it hurts.

Plus, how does removing blood splatter make this game less violent? Has anyone seen what happens to you when you become a Strogg? They saw off your arms and legs and drive a microchip into your brain. Then you take your weapon and start “killing” other players.

some countries have outlawed blood and gore in games, some countries restrict by age, usually why you can turn it off in game, although most people turn it off to stabilize framerate

Any company make their business the way they want, but for teenagers there are already plenty of titles, so to specialize in a mature audience can be a good thing…anyway matures have moneys, not teenagers!! :lol:

Personally i don’t understand why some countries are so FANATICS about violence and sex (especially in america…you can’t play a game, but you can find a real gun anywhere!!! c’mon!) :roll:
Check out the story of wolfenstein 3d…there was animalistcs protest against that game 'coz you had to shoot down dogs…

so, after all we are discussing a game where you have to shoot men and aliens, blow up stuff and so on…IMO if someone want complain about violence in this game, at least should complain the game itself…and if you have children 10-12 y.o buy them “pokemon” or “my minipony” games, leaving the nasty stuff to matures…

some blood would be nice ,not limbs flying off in multiple directions .How aboput like in CoD when you headshot someone a spray of blood wil lappear but there is not blood on the walls. just have a show of blood not a torrent of it then it appeases almost all except sci fi

and it seems a large amount of generalising is going on regarding teens playing .I play CoD for aserious american clan where teamwork is used and not many of the immature teens that play bf for example will be interested by wolfenstein ‘cos its not pretty enough’ so the maajoity of original wolf players in the teens will be mature.The game is not shaping up to look like immaturity will give the perpertrator any fun outa the game.
