- gravity (stronger to prevent bunny hopping)
- maximum health (less health to improve realistics)

If you’re looking for realism (remember, you’re fighting against cybernetic Strogg who drop stuff from space), why don’t you just stick to American’s Army or some of the Tom Clancy titles. I don’t mean this in a mean-spirited way, but there are other titles who have focused on the realism aspect and probably do it much better.

hello Ifurita, good idea i already play this games. I love Americas Army. But a futured scenario is not a reason for less realistic.
Realistic is a definiation question for me, for me its realistic if the damage, physics or gameplay is reality like and not if it is an future or past scenario.
I know that the most people want to agree with you, but this present binding is only a subjective perspective.
You want realistic physics, but don’t mind changing the gravity (!) to avoid something you don’t even know will be possible in the game?
I don’t mind if someone makes a “realism MOD” for ETQW, but having different physics (as well as HP) on every server would ruin my gaming experience (unless there is some way to filter out these servers).

Who is to say in the future that peopel won’t be able to take rediculessly huge amounts of fire due to some form of armor…
You can’t speculate on the realism of something that isn’t real. Well… sure you can… but its wholey speculation.
There won’t be any settings to change player health. Changing gravity is the wrong way to try to prevent bunnyhopping.
We won’t be providing server settings that drastically change gameplay in the ways you describe - that sort of thing is best left to mods.

thanks for your replies, yes a mod may be the better way, so i have to wait. Generaly i think Quake Wars has big potential. Good idea of asynchron gameplay, buildings, engine, story and quality. Only sadly that the name Quake not only stand for the story.
We won’t be providing server settings that drastically change gameplay in the ways you describe - that sort of thing is best left to mods.

Well, I guess nothing prevents someone from creating a realistic (or “tactical” as I think these things are called) mod based on the game, with less health, slower speed, stamina, etc.
