I’m spending my free time for a dead game too but i’m not asking for people to pay for a “premium version” which has no details …

OMG. That’s very kind of you. There always some people like you who are never happy. Ok that’s fine for me. I don’t care, I will just keep the other version for me, without releasing it on the web. I will continue to add functionnalies for my own use but it won’t concern you or anyone else anymore.

Donation are fine as long as there is a proved working stuff on the balance IMO, it seems that the program is still a bit buggy, and a donation is by far not a “payment”, the donation’s principle is that you give $$ if you like Donating to get a finished product is not donating, its paying for it.

The best way (IMO) is to give the full version free, and ppl will donate if they found it usefull, separating “trial” version and “full” one is like an antivirus marketing, its not community friendly

I have nothing against donations as such but asking for donations (its actually payment) in order for people to get their hands on a fully working tool for a game that has such a small community in which many other people have given up way much more time and effort on other things such as mods, maps, guides/tutorials, tv servers, match coverage, league organisation and so on all for free is a bit silly.

i agree, donations are for people who are satisfied with something, not to pay for advanced versions or updates, benefits…

but look, i dont thiink pleiadian posted his tool to make money on us.
you guys simply focus on totally stupid, useless details, and dont care for main thing.

for example. why then ohmystrogg servers have donations in system: donate to have private slot? and many other examples, like donate to be server admin and and so on.

problem is, your criticism is not constructive, but destructive in the worst meaning of that.

To make things clear, the app is not a replacement for quakewars power admin, which is a totally different application. Just look at the possibilities of both, you will see for yourself.

The admin privileges was indeed required to start and stop pb services, nothing else. I have a test version (with others great things) running with user’s rights with no problems.

Look, the version I’ve posted was fully fonctionnal, not trialware. The extended version was (for the most part) aimed to servers admin’s, to simplify theirs tasks, so it has little use for most players. I’ve given you choices, still you shoot me for providing something free to the community.

If it could not do something that it was supposed to do, then that’s not a full functional piece of software.

Also, when you made the post here you made no mention that you had to PAY to get the latest and full version of the program. Like has been said before, requiring a person to pay to be able to use a better version, one that supposedly works, is not asking them for donations. From the sounds of it the only thing you provided free to the community was the ETQW guide which was already free.

Most be Euro servers doing that, and that would explain all the Euro players and their 300 plus pings saturating NA servers…
