A new story entry has been added:

There have been a number of great community-made maps for Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars over the years, and this Sunday, you’ll get to experience four of them in special exhibition matches. Kicking off at 6 PM GMT, the matches will pit The Art of Warfare (TAW) clan against regular participants of the long-running Custom Map Nirvana event. The following maps will be part of the proceedings:

You can grab these maps right here or, if you want to absolutely positively make sure that you’ve got the right ones, you can download them directly from the server at etqw.nett.org:27745 when the time comes.

Big thanks for putting this up.

Following the event we also hope to provide a nice video compilation of all the best bits for those not able to make the event.

setting shader level or something to medium fixed the blackness on free spirit for me, but it also made things look way too purty.

There are two shader settings on the options/settings/advanced menu:

Shader Effect
Shader Level

If Shader Effect is set to low, you will get black megatexture on Free Spirit City. You need to set it to normal or above to get correct megatexture.

You may need to restart the game, if you already loaded Free Spirit City, to reflect the change.

Really nice, but it should have been done like a year ago.

Playing on Nirvana is still a blast, but after a while you understand that there aren`t any new faces…
