Quake Wars Campaign for new content

Hi fellow QW gamers,
I was hoping to gain some support on my new campaign.

We love ET: Quake Wars . Id Software give us a Sequel or face a Teabagging

(note splash damage are not aware of this yet)
i know the title kinda points in ID direction, but this campaign if successful could be a source to maybe give support to get Splash Damage(if they support) to povide new content.Either to finance in advance or to give a indication of support.These are only possibilities and ideas. :armadillochase:

The campaign will be open for all type of ideas. Anything is possible but it starts will you guys supporting it.

The thread is for new content
its not really for mods . its for professional new content.
Either a sequal or new maps from Id or SD .

Just stop complaining and playing on ranked (or vanilla) servers and start playing custom.

There are some really nice custom maps - but so few players.

Mentioning the word professional is not gonna get you much love here I’m afraid, we’ve had some people abusing that word terribly in the past. If QuakeJoe doesn’t ring a bell, be happy.

Sorry dont get me wrong i do not mean to mock the mod scene . I love mods like brace and QWTA and more recently the map that Mop did .These guys are a real credit to the community.Quake is a great game and i have even tried to play different games within the same vanilla maps. like last man standing matches (but thats another story).
If more awareness on setting up maps and packs i think it would easily be great again.
BUT please do not hijack this thread and pull it towards mods as thats just not what this is about.

I just put out there a few ideas with the right campaign support we could maybe provide funds for instance(random idea) for more content its just a idea.Its really ulitamitely open to members to provide those ideas.

Playing Quake wars and seeing Volcano or Sewer for example the level of design and quality .
What if we could get a new campaign at that level of quality would you buy it. OR

Playing battlefield bc2 at this time and comparing it to Quake wars it lacks
all the communication tools that Quake has but besides that its a awesome game.
What if you were playing against you quake wars enemies in that type of gameplay.
Would you buy it. Or

Quake Wars Enemy Terrtory 2 The final conquest(random title)
A new game with all the best qualities that Quake wars had but with an up to date style.
Would you love to see that. would you buy it.

This is what the campaign is all about.

Is WISH OFFICIAL MAPS 2 a Facebook campaign if so ill sign up or are using my thread for somthing else.
if not please dont go off subject it may be slimiler to another thread but all i am asking for is for new members.

Unfortunately, due to Acti****Vision, I can’t get you a link to the old “WISH OFFICIAL MAPS” topics (there were many, many of them).

Since you seem to be asking for the same thing (“we want new quake wars content because we can’t understand how to connect to custom map servers”) as QuakeJoe and the other people who posted such topics I’m mocking your ‘campaign’ by dubbing it “WISH OFFICIAL MAPS 2”.

Hope that clears it up for you.

i don’t have a facebook presence but surely would i LOVE some officially supported expansion of any kind to quake wars. bad company 2 just continues the trend of dumbed down BS with shiny. already uninstalled that waste of time (and hard earned $) and already back to binge some QW.

Its a bit disraspectful no matter how you word it, to people producing new levels. But what you will gain from custom built levels is something that feels and plays differently. and thats a positive thing. More content is coming, just be a bit more grateful and start to enjoy it now.

love how guys pick up somthing twist it, bend it and make it somthing else.
I have one guy who is a historian to all quake wars threads and flames me for not being aware of a thread that does not exist anymore.

I have also been flamed from another guy for being disrespectfull to the mod scene.ignores my previous comments and then beats me up more.The clue is in the title “a sequal to Quake Wars”

These comments are a million miles off my topic.

All i am saying is i have set up a campaign for a sequal to Quake Wars.
As facebook has been sucessful for campaigns in other areas
At the moment all i am asking for is support and new signees.
Regarding what we acheive and what direction we take this campaign is still to be decided.
Please keep the negative and off topic stuff to a minumum .

I don’t think it’s disrespectful at all to say that not one custom map even approaches the quality of the stock maps, after all, the modders don’t have a big bag of cash and a proffesional team at their disposal. The maps are an amazing job for someone who made them in their spare time.

i wonder who hold IP on QW universe.
if tis iD, SD/ZM can publish sequel/DLC sometime later and/or mappack/minor booster.
if its Activision, they can exploit QW IP too.
i wonder what it can be. in both cases[all ideas, coming in mind, far crazier, than ETQW itself ;].
