Q&A for Brink - Questions Needed

I haven’t heard of any limitations on the numbers of each class per team, but it’s not a problem anyway - you don’t need to die, you just need to get to the nearest CP and change class if need be…

If there are too many people of one class, the objectives won’t get done, and so some XP grabber will change to the class required as per their mission wheel.

As far as Bulletstorm goes it is a new title just like Brink so the contending factor is fairly similar in my mind.
But Bulletstorm is being developed by Epic, who have already proved themselves in both the FPS and console market. Splash Damage has no console notoriety, and Bethesda, although they make great games, 1) isn’t developing Brink and 2) isn’t know for its shooters.

are there going to be limitations on classes? Like can there be a whole team of Operatives or would ou only be able to have three Operatives?
Class limitations is something likely to appear later, in PC server setting or mods. Same for weapon limitations, and abilities as well.

Are there two ways to throw your grenade? Like in etqw you could have a short “drop” or throw it, or have a sticky grenade (for strogg).

I know Operatives have the Sticky Bomb. and if there is some alternate type of nade, I’m sure it too will be a purchasable ability, opposed to just an optional, default skill.

The trend seems to be, many of the things you could do in ET and QW, you can do in Brink - if you unlock/buy it.

Yeah, and what I’m saying is in Brink, alternate skills that were available to all players (like the stick nade) will likely be unlockable abilities now.

Yaya I can already see the cp camper who will switch beetween medic / soldier camping to get health then big fire then health then big fire etc…

It can be a little problem, even if realisticly I dunno if you can switch during a firefight without dying… but if you pair up with a friend its another story.

I don’t think the fight will be that close to CP’s, and then there’s your pips which I suppose carry over when you change class. That prevents you from spamming abilities for a long time.

Could be easily prevented by implementing a limit on how fast you can change.

Maybe have it that self buffs don’t carry when you switch.

That makes sense, but then you can still quickly swap medic to heal up, and then back to soldier to spam on. If the maps are designed right this shouldn’t be an issue though.
