Punkbuster woes

I had a problem with ET where it froze repeatedly, while playing the last sound.

Now after much messing about, and searching these forums I switched off punkbuster, guess what it plays fine now on the non punkbuster servers.

Problem is alot of these are high ping and not very good to play on.

So my question is, is there anyway to get round this problem? Why has punk buster (after playing fine since it came out) start ******* my **** up now?

I’ve tried the manual update without much joy.

Please help as Medal of Honour sucks online!

The usual, reinstall ET, patch up to 1.02, update PB and run. More than likely a dodgy install/patched version of PB struggling to update…

Or if you’ve got an nVidia card and have recently updated to the latest Forceware drivers, go back to Detonator driver version 45.23 or lower. The latest nVidia drivers (50.xx and above) are known to cause problems with PB enabled games (not just ET).

detonator (forceware). Didn’t he just say that?
