most servers use etpro, but I think you’ll find just as many players playing etpub and jaymod as etpro

In W:ET hitsounds have the same effect…
Ok, time to put on that flameproof suit again…
Hitsound is the crappiest thing ever to be added to W:ET. It suited quake 3, but not W:ET and I hope we will never see it in QW but I guess that it will be one of the first things a mod will add since people loves it.
Haven’t Pub nad Jay also hitsounds?
And how do you get the health of your enemy from hitsounds?
you can guess their health from the amount of hits and what kind of hits they were
Eventually, I allso found this chatlog of an IRC conversation with Locki. The poor guy was bombarded with questions, (Mostly from a BF player’s view) so see if you can find some interesting things there.
Do remember that nothing’s final yet. ;)[/quote
That was funny, I was hanging around that day, he said it was the first time he’d been on IRC in years. That log is from the channel #Fuck_EA/DICE or something like that that a bunch of BF2 clanners made after the last patch.
Curious that he got to know the channel. He saw a chance to promote his game and took it.
^^ As long as they dont f*** up the game, they wont need to promote. Alot of people are pissed at EA for what they did with BF2. I Know I am and im buying QW out of spite, plus I already know its gonig to be the better game.
hmm hitsounds are useful for clan practise - if you know where your shots land on the target you dont have to ask - “Hey - how much HP you got left?”
ETPro made the game more hardcore, downsizing text messages, reducing HUD size and added hit sounds - I suppose it depends how hardcore ET:QW is that will define what mods get made.
ETPro made the game more hardcore
It also made it more enjoyable, script mods on fueldump / battery, bug fixes, hitsounds but left the majority of the gameplay intact
