Hi hi stay tuned guyz! the cup start next week, 16 teams from EU and a very few pubclan from NA :wink: thanks to all that made the effort to signup! Lets the fight begins!!!

On the news today:

  • Final rules posted
  • Final serverā€™s cfg posted AND downloadable if you are too lazy to copy paste a text file :smiley:
  • Map pool posted on rules
  • downloadable map pack with Maridia/canal/beta as itā€™ll be the 3 custom maps opened for this competition (pack need to be unzipped then placed in etqw/base folder)

Incoming:

  • Publication of rosters from all team
  • Divisions and group publication

Multiple post ftw!

Stay tuned guyz, etqw comp is not dead and we have 4 groups of 4 teams ready to play vs eachother, may the best team win!!!

We also have 3 NA pub clan who signed up for this cup, and thanks them who proudly jumped over the fence to test some promod and custom maps :wink:

TV servers will be setuped and Iā€™ll post the IP once its done, try to spec these guyz, it worths it :wink:

This cup wont fail, and next season with more organisation and hopefully more teams is on the way!

PS:@cankor, did you get my message ingame? We could make a cooperation to create some NA & EU cup in the future, but iā€™ll need admin for na cup, and this way we can mix eu vs na teams for some fun.

yeah, havenā€™t been on in game much, yesterday first time in a week and a half or so. PM me your e-mail and I will send you an invite for admin on NA Pub Tourney, but FYI there doesnā€™t seem to be any interest (only SUP has signed up). I havenā€™t pushed it to hard since initial notifications though.

Try to reach jakoby ingame from deadstrogg team, he wanted to play badly :wink:

And yup as you are few teams in NA I suggest you contact eachother via ingame buddy mlist, itā€™ll be easier for you me think :wink:

PS: next season will be openened to NA comp team afaik, still need to fix details with cankor if he agrees to admin the na part :smiley:

You guyz have untill sunday to play your remaining group phasesā€™s matches, if I havent any pm or any kind of news from the team captains involved with a date + time agreement on their respectives matches Iā€™ll force dates/times during this weekend, means all your games will be played saturday/sunday evening at max.

If I need to force matches then:

  • If both teams shows up super good they play their match
  • If one team shows up at the date and time fixed she gain the forfeit win
  • If nobody shows up itā€™ll be a draw

Thanks again to all the participant, some may need more motivation to actually play their game but well :wink: it happens!

PS: If you are a team captain and if you are sure that you wont be able to play your remaining matches before sunday then pm me and Iā€™ll consider you forfeit for the remaining time.

Now the groups are finished and we can start the playoffs in a single elimination bracket format that can be found here: http://pubcomp.tourney.cc/brackets/

Matches dates will be fixed this time: tuesday/thursday and sunday for this first playoffs round are the days you can pick with your opponents, easier to setup TV if you want watchers! You have one week to play your games, starting tomorrow!
