these exlusives where here since march, so i dont know what u mean by ‘doing the exact opposite’.
In any case, keep flaming, as we need a lot of whine before they bring bronze variants ot the xclusives. which they will!

Are you f*cking serious @strychzilla? Are those Gold only cards really that powerful that Dirty Bomb deserves to be called p2w?
]
You are kidding, right?
The desert eagle is amazing on proxy, I main her and my favourite loadout is R51 Venerable Close Assault (Quick Draw, Quick Slash, Springy) which is remburg/deagle and also have the previously mention Gold Proxy and love the smg/deagle combo
I was under the impression that any loadout can be gotten with bronze cards. If this is true then the game is p2w and the claim they make is false.
The only addition to higher cards should be skins, Not the better perk combos
Augments don’t win games.

Yeah pretty serious. 15$ gets you 20% reduce reload, 30% faster weapon switch do more/take less explosive damage. When it comes to competitive play any bonus is a bonus regardless of how miniscule it is and since these bonuses can be purchased, it’s P2W. Any top team would refuse to play a finale in a tournament with default loadout cards while the opposing team could have any loadout card they wanted. Why? Because they’re at a disadvantage.

Yeah, a good card gives you a slight advantage. But everyone can get cards. Even for free. I mean: You get a new case every couple of matches and every single card in the game could be in those crates. Some of my best gold cards are from crates. And even if you don’t get a crate for a long time, you can just buy them for 1000c which isn’t that much, considering there could be gold or even cobalt in there.
And even if some comp players don’t like the card system: The leagues can just say “Hey, you have to play default only, that’s the rule” done.
Blacklight did the same thing “Hey, that weapon is too strong, don’t use it. It’s a rule.” or “Just use the stock weapons. Customization is forbidden” done!
btw: Which card were you referring to?
Strych is right. Currently where splashdamage/nexon are going with their market is a slippery slope, which might snowball (keep in mind they made these changes for open beta, not launch). Meaning they’ll just make it worse.
They should of kept it the same, it terms of let players play the game for loadouts. Just adding in custom skins, which we could buy if they really needed the money. For the most part someone that drops say 200 bucks on crates, will have an advantage. Plain and simple. You are ignorant if you don’t see that.
Don’t get me started on boosters. EXP or Credit
It’s unfortunate, coming into DB I thought this game would be different from the rest. Mind you they are still doing things right. Just this update showed some strings they were hiding. fingers crossed for launch.
@flipSequence
If someone downloaded the game for the first time and spends 200 bucks on crates he will have a lot of cards, yes. But when he joins a match and there’s a level 20 guy who played shooters for years and only has a lead card equipped the money guy will loose in 99,9% of the encounters because the game is not about your shiny cards, it’s about your skill.
Did you and @strychzilla bothered to read the topic at all or are you just reading the last post and then start typing from the top of your head? Because I have the feeling that I’m repeating myself and this discussion is spinning in circles.
So here again:
cba to open crates, cba to trade bronze cards.
playing some mercs with iron cards (Aura, fletcher), and still owning!
as for high level competition, i realy hope for real draft mode with all mercs choice and all cards avi to all participants in lolbby.

Uhhh ya. that’s a no brainer.
What makes the difference is having two level 20 guys that played shooters for years. One hasn’t spent any money and just running with the cards he was dealt, and the other popping 200 bucks on loadouts having more options.
Thus an advantage.
I don’t think having more options is necessarily imbalanced. I think you’re taking it a little too far.
A person on tf2 can drop 200 dollars on having a lot of options too. Does that mean tf2 is imbalanced?

Nope
Because if the “no money spent” guy is level 20 he should have a shit ton of nice cards already.
I’m level 15, never spent a cent on cards and have a collection of 40 cards mostly bronze, silver and a hand full of golds.
plz start reading the full posts from now on and not only the first few sentences.
So lets do some math. If both level 20’s have a collection of 40 cards. The guy that spent the 200 bucks on cases has how many more cards then the guy that didnt pay anything?
Add it up for me Thaisan.
Untill they officially make silver and up equal to bronze. there will be an issue. ( i have been reading, just not the apologetic BS)

This isn’t a topic about balance, but what is fair for the players.
I don’t know how many cards Mr. Moneybags has and it doesn’t matter.
Remember that you are only able to equip on card on a merc for every match. I have one card for every merc that I use which I really like and I use this card most of the time.
So even if I’d have like a 100 cards more I’d still use the cards I’m using right now because I’m used to those and they suit my play style.
Now tell me having my point in mind:
Which advantage does the guy with the 140 have?
