Amen! There is certainly a good vibe on the PS3. I’ve made more friends with Brink than any previous game I’ve owned. I find Brink being has become my ‘chill out’ game of choice. I really enjoy playing with friends and tinkering with character builds. Great stuff.

I’ve just about got that char i was messing w/ today done (although i ditched the goofy clown makeup - was trying to make Ryuk from Deathnote (the demon/shinigami dude in my sig pic).

My suggestion for dealing with host advantage is that the host should be a heavy. A heavy with host advantage seems to be pretty balanced…to be honest.

Another possibility is that the host could use light rifles… I was playing a game early as host, and it just felt abusive… It seemed like people were shooting at where I was a second ago. I switched to light rifle and it felt more even… I was more stationary, which made it easier for me to die.

Dude, if you ever got to see my actual character customization and not just a bot skin, I made a guy who I believe to be the closest Brink representation of Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’m actually pretty proud of him. On a separate note, I haven’t been on Brink in a while because I’ve been playing Uncharted beta. Is that bad?

No, Ive actually been doing the same.
It will stop Brink from getting ‘stale’ for you. Believe me if you play it too much it can happen.
Plus the Beta is only out for a certain amount of time and I would say that Brink is much more of a Beta than Uncharted 3 XD
Just play that and other games and keep Brink fresh n wait for the DLC n update, that way I think it would have a longer life for you, but dont take my advice… jus sayin.

lol. nice… I actually got my Ryuk guy pretty close, the Lost jacket, the clown face, the tendril afro, but looked more like a scary clown than Ryuk, so i modded it.

did you ever get the chat invite for the big teams room? TragHip mentioned something about it last week, but Friday was the last day i played more than a drop in match and haven’t had time to do much else. (between work and a fallout:NV addiction…sheesh.)

I tried the UC3 beta, i just cant get into 3rd person MP shooters (and i really like UC2, MGS4, RE4, etc, so it’s not just the 3rd person mechanic). it might be the format - Brink is the first FPS I’ve much cared for (and i’ve tried the big names) - as TDM, DM, etc have less appeal to me now. (i’m not a big fan of twitch shooters (anymore) either, although I played some back in the QIII and UT4 days).

I think it’s the balance between objectives, teamplay, and pace that keeps me coming back. Something about UC3 is missing that for me, so I indulged my F:NV addiction (not getting that time back…)

may even switch my guy back to look more like Ryuk now that he’s more prominently featured in my sig… he’s my chaos/freeplay fun char…basically all the chaos/attack/run-hide-gun abilities for sol/eng/op i could think of.

I enjoyed the heavies vs mediums (sort of) 3v3/4v4 match we had going on. Sometime I’d like to have a light rifle/pistol only match.

Special edition was going cheap @Game recently so I ordered a copy. Arrived today and have nearly finished the challenges (just the last Tower Defence to go).

Interested in trying to get in on some games as so far I’ve only seen two ‘real’ players - was playing Big Teams so don’t know if that’s a factor. Only played one round, though.

Anyway, feel free to add me: gooey79
