Promod removal from comper help plz

Hi

i downloaded promod installed it added some maps to it for a compo a few weeks ago
but as soon as i installed promod my normal game stoped working. every time i tryed to start up the normal game the promod would start up instaed???

so i uninstalled promod and that didnt help the comper would still start up promod even tho it wasnt on my pc.
then i uninstalled the normal game and reinstalled and it still happen???
i look everywhere that i know of for any files on my pc that has anything to do with qw or promod and got reed of them all. but that this didnt help? :frowning:

so i am at a lose of what to do now, any help any1 can give me would much helpfull thank you.
im thinking there is some random file somewhere that i can find on my pc like in the registry or something???

You can’t understand how lucky you are… Play on promod only coz vanilla will eat your brains!

there is a mod button in the game menu you can select or deselect if i am not mistaken. also, another way to switch between vanilla/promod is to select a server on which you want to play and when it hangs just type “reconnect” in the console and it should load the right stuff for you. it may hang once more and type “reconnect” again. just trying to give you simple work arounds.

lastly, check the properties of the shortcut button and delete any “+game_” entries you see for promod.

You use Windows 7?

Search for this folder: C:\Users[your W7 username]\AppData\Local\id Software\Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars\etqwpro

Have you deleted it?

Also, undesired content can be on this folder, delete it too: C:\Users[your W7 username]\AppData\Local\id Software\Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars\base

Those are the “save folders” of the game. They arent deleted when you reinstall the game.
