When i join a server where i must download something like a map or mod, the dowload works for about 1 sec. and then stops and i cant do anything. i reinstall ET and after that ET works 1 time he works fine and dowload maps also good, after this when i quit ET and start again the problem is back :bored: can somebody help me please?

check if internet connection is unstable? or if ure cable is loose?

Can you download other material from the internet, like PDF-files, Word-files, .avi-files et cetera?

Make sure that you don’t have your folders set to “Read Only” also.

It could also be any spyware/virus realtime protection also that is killing the connection.

Give us some more system specs and what you have running in the background when you are trying to play ET.

if you’ve given full detail and that’s really all you do, then finding the cause is quite simple: make a clean install. copy that install to a different directory. make the problem appear. quit ET and compare the two directories. :wink:
