Problem with punkbuster

Hello

As you may probably know, ETQW requires PunkBuster in order to connect with most of its servers. When i tried to update punkbuster for ETQW the game was not on the list of possible updates. I contacted evenbalance just to find out that they do not support ETQW anymore, they advised me to contact activision directly. I did. Activision is useless, their support site is just a giant FAQ, which doesn’t help at all.
Now I’m quite positive that there is a way of updating that punkbuster since there are servers on-line which require punkbuster and there are players on it (not bots). Please help me out here, how can I solve the problem that even though punkbuster doesn’t support ETQW, the game requires it.

you have to go to the legacy thread! somewhere above this topic on the forum… PunkBuster has dropped support for etqw…

That won’t work, ET:QW isn’t included any more in the list of available games :frowning: .

If you want to use pbsetup to update Punkbuster, you could try this version. It still includes ET:QW and it will install the update required to join the game servers that are still up and running. Just make sure you DO NOT press the “check for updates” button, cause that will remove ET:QW from the list!.
