@Dragonji Yes it’s enough if you run Windows XP, if you run Windows 7…
Problem with my FPS.
Here is core temp after 10mins of ET with 30 players: http://i.imgur.com/k9oEk.png i couldn’t take the screenshot while in the game but i took it right after i exited. Sorry couldn’t find an ET Minimizer that worked.
I got the following information from Radar Demo: 2896 Frames, 36,3 sec, 79.7fps
I used the Auto-Installer from etkey.org so i guess my PB is updated, also i get lag from non-pb servers as well.
I ran pb.cfg but still get lags.
You can now try changing settings in nvidia panel, and run that benchmark again.
And also in ET…
But still, 2 GB is OK even for Win 7 x64 + ET
That’s right that Win Vista (and never versions) uses more RAM but the system clears as much memory as it can after you start some game for example. Properly configured ET shouldn’t use more than 300 MB of RAM (com_hunkmegs 128, com_soundmegs 160) so even if Vista/Seven uses 1 GB all the time, you will still have about 700 MB of free memory
But we are going a bit offtopic now.
You can just type /seta r_softwaregl 0 in console (then /vid_restart to make sure new setting is being loaded properly) while you are on your NQ server.

press alt+ enter when you are in ET and then start Coretemp and take a look at the load.
Usuallly the Minimizer has to be started as admin as well to work on 7 for instance; ALT+Enter doesn’t work well here on my previous 7 and my new one, not sure if it will reduce whole game of just make the bar show up with the game still at the first plan
It doesn’t really matter if it reduces the whole game as long as the game is still running.
Anyway a friend of my used to have an intel e6600, which is a bit better than your cpu, in combination with windows 7 and he had a lot of trouble getting playable fps with ET. He bought an expensive graphic card and he still had the same problem, after that he went mad and bought himself a new cpu + mobo and the problem was fixed.
You did not get what I meant by “the game is still at the first plan”, I meant you can have anything opened, you’ll always have ET in front without a Minimizer ^^’
Or he can try to lower the res and switch to windowed mode?
Intel E2160 OC’ed @ 2,9 GHz + Win XP here and almost stable 125 FPS on medium/high settings. At default clock (which is 1,8 GHz) I am able to get fully stable 76 FPS on medium graphic settings.
Can Win Vista/Seven be so resource consuming…?
They are. That’s why you need more RAM to run them
I have to check my old CPU (AMD Sempron 2800+) frequency, but I remember when it was well with 768 Mo of RAM and XP I was able to run it in 1152xsomething with everything on high and AA on 2X through NVidia Panel (NVidia GeForce 6200); So this CPU should be enough… On XP.
Now, you can check if your constructor have put some pre-installed crap which run in background… When I had this laptop, I was impressed by the start up programs list. Really, about 10 Toshiba crap programs… Start faster and I have CPU on 0/1% now, while I had 4-5% with nothing running. And this on an i3…
I doubt its memory, i’m only using 467MB before starting up W:ET, my OS is a clean install so no manufacturer crap here.
I will try to screenshot CoreTemp while running ET.
Hello for your Minimizer problem :
On my computer, I use http://www.idcation.com/projects/17/minimizor_20 to minimize all games DirectX and OpenGL.
It always run 100% OK, and launch automatic at windows startup (go in options)
Try it maybe ??
