Problem with loading maps

Hey i have issue with etqw. When im loading map (most times its third map of campaign i think), it gets stuck at loading screen. Pressing esc will turn on/off these level sounds you can hear at end of loading (seems like its getting back to main menu, but it isn’t). And then after about 30 sec im being kicked to main menu :frowning: It’s quite annoying, especially when another player join when im loading and server is full, or i loose XP :mad: Have anyone idea how to fix it? Maybe i messed something up in cfg?

it happens to me sometimes too…but i found some way to to solve it-at least it works every time for me.

when i am stuck on the loading screen…i press “alt-strg-del” so i am on the desktop-then i wait for dunno 5 sec and switch back to qw…and voilà i am ingame and not stucked anymore on the loading screen. sounds weird…but at least it works fine for me.mybe you can try it…qw is a bitch!!

I get this very issue as well. It doesn’t happen often tho.
I noticed this behavior mostly loading Volcano.

The console doesn’t give a error message.

What videocards using - ATI or Nvidia?

I have a AMD 6950 2GB.

I’ve recently updated the drivers to 12.1 Catalyst (11.12 before).
I haven’t played enough to gauge whether it has been fixed with the new drivers.
