Problem with ET

Hi, when ET was just released, I installed it, and everything went fine.
Then I deleted it (don’t know why). And now I wanna play it again.
But, I can start the game without problems, but when i start a server, or join a servern it lags like HELL, when i shoot i have to wait for about 20 seconds and then he shoots and i hear sounds like wunderbar over and over again, I can’t walk etc…
There are no other programs running, and I tried every setting in ET for video and system, but nothing works
Pls help me out pls I really want to play this game it rulz like hell.

In the early days, it happened a couple of times that I accidently set the connection (options>system) to ISDN. Doesn’t sound like that’s your problem, but that’s all I can think of.

No, I have cable, and when I host my own game, i have the same problem

As you have this when you host your own game it’s probably not network related

you should try to reinstall the game, video drivers and motherboard drivers

Mmmm… Have you tried a different game online, to see if it’s just ET…?

Yep, I can play battlefield 2 online, counter-strike source, WoW, half-life 2 deathmatch, unreal tournament 2004, and everything on the highest settings, and it doesn’t lag a bit.

Tried the old video driver that worked fine? Some ATI drivers have OpenGL issues I hear …
