Problem with ET and router

(Volum) #1

Well, earlier, when i had XP, there wasn’t any problems, but when i installed windows 7, then the router restarts itself, every 4-5 minutes. What’s wrong?

wireless? and what router?

(Volum) #3

Thomson SpeedTouch 780 WL

well you still didn’t say if you were on wireless or not, but anyway if you are I also recently upgraded to windows 7 and also noticed a dramatic drop in wireless connection. (no explanasion as to why though :S)
However, you upgrading from xp to 7 should not be causing your router to do anything funny, since it should have no effect on your router.

(Volum) #5

it is wireless router, but i don’t use it, i use a wire

(twt_thunder) #6

your router is the same as mine and shouldn’t behave different on win 7 than other ones…probably your computer… laptop? with intergrated wireless? try to deactivate the wireless…

(Volum) #7

It’s usual PC

(stealth6) #8

hmm well if you’re conncted via wire, does it give any kind of error like IP coflict or firewall or anti-virus blocking the connection?

(Volum) #9

Got it work, just had to write a command to telnet: ":connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=0
"

By default ET uses UDP port 27960
You have opened up all UDP ports so may want to lock that down a bit.

Glad to hear it’s working though
