I go to server select list and always select a server that pings no higher than 100 to enter. Usually all goes well and I enjoy my time playing. However, today all day I’ve tried to play and every time I connect to a server I am lagging insanely and the in-game player menu (TAB) says that my ping is 999 when the server list said that the server pinged less than 100 for me. I have tried many different servers including a few that I played on yesterday and all of them are the same: Low ping on select screen, loading gamestate and mission quickly, character select is fine but as soon as I select my character it lags like crazy and I get “Connection Interrupted” messages and the player menu shows my ping to be 999.
I’ve rebooted my machine, reset my router, reset my DSL modem and reinstalled the game but none of it works. The worst part is that it worked just yesterday and I made no changes to anything since then. Everything else runs perfectly and even the game runs perfectly up until I select my character. Anyone have any ideas?
