As long as this game doesn’t become an explosive spam fest. If the RPG/grenade launcher is something you can’t just pull out every spawn that’d be great. I remember glauncher in rtcw being very fun and sorta balanced to play with but explosives in most fpses nowadays get out of hand. Even cooking nades in the current game can get out of hand. And I definitely hope they don’t ever allow grenade resupplies from ammo packs.
with the state the nades are in now resupplying them wouldnt cause much if any issue
yeah spamming nades that barely remove 20% health when they land right next to a target is pretty op
Bring back the RTCW Engie, he spawned with 8 'nades, yep, count 'em, 8 of the little buggers …
… actually no, don’t, that’s something I don’t miss from RTCW.
Need rocket like in Quake live!
-Little splash
-Lot of damage when you heat body,
-SLow speed
-loader with 4,5 rocket
Lets make it like … in … or like … in that other video game, you know, the one that already did like any other video games …
Why not simply bring a new rocket launcher ? Something other games will want to copy ! And sorry, but DB is not Quake, a rocket launcher like this cannot fit the game simply because RPG in DB must be a tactical aspect and NOT a rocket gatling killing everyone …

Goodluck making an effective, balanced RPG that no FPS has ever known before. It’s easier said than done.
I’m not sure if it’s even possible. It’s 2013, so many idea’s have allready been thought of.
I know, but I’m kinda getting allergic to posts saying DB should copy elements from another games or even better, become RTCW 2. I believe there is room to improve and a new weapon, similar to an RPG in some extend, could be introduced in DB.
not sure if MrEd’s M72 is serious, it’s a '70s version of a panzerfaust, unguided and rocket propelled, but single use, you’ll want to stay away from back when firing

MFW I see that in the game…

shows you the rear energy, and that’s from a tiny rocket, it’s fully burned before it leaves the tube or operator would be crispy critter. It’s a lot of power
you can’t shoot these indoors, the concussion wave would make you jelly, and not in the good way
I wish I had the opportunity in the Swiss Army to fire the Panzerfaust … we have the evolution of it as anti-tank rocket launcher … sniff
For rocket launcher, why not make the splash damage hurt slightly, but daze/knock over people in the radius of the blast?
This way, it won’t be too overpowering, it can make people move from cover to avoid being pinned down, and anyone caught in the blast is slightly hindered by it.
Additionally, the guy who fires it, needs to crouch down, and it takes a second to charge it before firing. This way, you won’t get spam, and it’ll be more of a support weapon. If it also had a cone of where it hits (i.e. not 100% accurate), it would make the RPG a more of a support weapon rather than a 1-hit-kill weapon.
In my humble opinion the launcher in etqw was a pretty good model to draw from…it seemed to work well despite is drawbacks like the delayed fire, reload time, etc. That type of launcher would work well for support here I think. Just my 2 cents though heh
