I would call Gamestop shopping the mark of shame much more than Walmart. Supporting them and their used games marketing does way more damage to the game devs than buying from another retailer. Plus Walmart has a $10 gift card besides the pack, which is a better deal.

All that said I hit amazon for my preorder. :slight_smile:

Gamestop worse than Walmart? Time to educate yourself man. The High Cost of Low Prices. Between labor, legal, environmental, wage, product quality and longterm economic sustainability and health walmart is probably one of the worst things ever to happen to America, and probably the world. It is an economic black-hole that is slowly lowering the entire level of our wages/prices/capital.

Besides, all the decent developers already sold out to steam anyway, why care about gamestop?

Would you have to unlock these skins and weapons and such through playing? Or would they immediately unlock when you type in the code? I’ve played games that do both.

I highly doubt the weapons in the packs are different apart from appearance.

At the very least they won’t be BETTER than standard weapons as it would unbalance the game.

Yea, but I’m buying it at WalMart because of the pre-order bonus. Ordinarily I would get it from someplace else, but I really don’t like the other bonii.

Also, I’m buying on 360, not PC, so Steam isn’t an option.

If the pre-order guns are skins, as some of the pre-order info pages list them, they will perform identically to a gun that is already in the game. So it is a purely cosmetic thing.

If playing on console, you can tell. If on PC, then it’ll most likely be someone from Steam, but you won’t be able to tell.

There really shouldn’t be any of this “skin backlash” stuff. It happens on MMOs and it has happened in TF2. It’s ugly, mean-spirited, and wholly unsportsmanlike conduct.
