Preorder deals and bonuses (updated)

(Maawdawg) #1

I figured a place to post Brink deals and bonuses when they find them would be nice and everyone can send the deals around trying to get their friends on the Brink bandwagon and hopefully we don’t have a half dozen different threads clogging everything up.

New preorder bonus information was revealed at Quakecon. BestBuy, Gamestop, Amazon/Direct 2 Drive, and Walmart/Steam will all be getting different preorder bonus items. Here is a link to info, (larger) pictures, and HQ screenshots of all of the bonuses.

(Pytox) #2

I’m waiting for Collector’s edition news first

(murka) #3

There better be a tapir in a box.

(Pytox) #4

Or what about real tapir in cage that you will have to keep as housepet

(light_sh4v0r) #5

It’s not like they’re cute and small

(Laneljh) #6

I want a Gerund full scale replica. Or the Bug mask

(Pytox) #7

Baby tapir might do just fine

(tokamak) #8

I’m not going to pre-order, I want to be sure I have the game on the first day.

(Maawdawg) #9

Release day delivery from Amazon works, or if you are in the US you can preorder at Gamestop/Target/BestBuy and pick it up in store on day 1. Delivery definitely isn’t as 100% sure as walking into a store and grabbing it off a shelf, but even that can get messed up if there are supply issues.

That is getting ahead of myself anyway. I won’t preorder until I see what deals are out there as release day (whenever that is) approaches, but Amazon with release day deliver is the way I normally go.

(light_sh4v0r) #10

I’m not buying before I’ve seen the game, demo plz.

(Jamieson) #11

No preorder for me, I will see what the game footage looks like nearer to release and take a look at reviews and see what other people think.

(Joshua Morrison) #12

I never buy a game without playing it first…ever since Splinter Cell Double Agent(POS compared to the old ones) but Brink looks like everything I have ever wanted in a video game. So I really hope there is a demo for 360. I would love to pre-order it but I’m going to have to wait till closer to release.
I’m not going to pre-order, I want to be sure I have the game on the first day.
Yeah I know what you mean. My Q4 preorder shipped two weeks after release.

(LyndonL) #14

For PC it will be Steam only and I’m guessing that will mean it will require activation. So Pre-order on Steam, download it the day before, and you will get it activated on the day on the minute (usually).

(zXSwordXz) #15

You guys talking about pre-order and the game release date is not set yet. I’m starting to loose interest with all the postpone dates. Don’t get me wrong, I love the game but it seem like Bethesda is just postponing it to get a good window to sell it. Which is never going to happen. Because alot of fps games are being developed.

SD is alot like how Blizzard used to be. SD is Sitting on a goldmine of solidness, and that has to do with the management. Only thing questionable with SD is their marketing. Gaming is turning into a service rather than a product. If SD can man up and make it work, there is no fail.

They’re sitting on it, lets see if they can prospect a good audience. My moneys on SD.

(tokamak) #17

Steam only doesn’t mean there won’t be retail versions available.

(LyndonL) #18

No but with past games that required Steam, the activation is still limited by Steam anyway…

If getting it on time is a concern, buy on Steam - PC games boxes/manuals are pretty crap these days (if they’re even included!).

Brink Fallout pack at Game

(Maawdawg) #20

Amazon just added a Preorder bonus for Brink. $10 gift card towards a future game purchase.

I have a $20 card left from buying red Dead Redemption so final cost will be $37 and I get a $10 gift card. Sweet!

Updated the OP with the new info and links to copies for both consoles.
