Seriously, just release a reskinned version of the Greeneye to everyone just like every other non-clothing pre-order item has a reskinned version of that item in the game already. The issue with the Greeneye is that it is the only pre-order item that does not have an in-game version with identical stats. This creates balance issues regardless of what your personal opinion is about the scope’s effectiveness.

For PC users, you could possibly get the DOOM & Spec Ops packs relatively cheap right now. On game.co.uk the Brink Special Edition is only £7.98 (about $13 USD) right now, with free shipping within the UK. I worked out a little trade with a friend of mine - he bought this special edition and I got the bonus pack codes. You could also buy one of these yourself and give or trade the base game key to a friend, keeping the bonus packs for yourself.

Now I only need the Fallout pack :smiley:

Yeah, I think I made a mistake talking about the other bonuses, it would have avoided the categorical reply : it’s pre order bonuses etc…
I agree with you, they shouldn’t become open to everybody (I didn’t vote for the “yes all”), the real question I wanted to ask was : Why one of the pre order bonus is not balanced? This one in particular should be open to everybody or a reskin version in the base game, it’s not fair that’s all. maybe it’s sound like we haggle a bit but it’s not fair.
TF2 for exemple (no silly comparison) have a TON of exclusive, promotional, community items but the game is still balanced whatever the vanilla nostalgic says.

Walmart had some pre-order copies of brink still for sale last time I was there. Saw it in the glass case. If it has a red do not sell before May 10 date on it, it has the code. Then you can get the Spec Ops. Then give the game to a real good friend as a birthday present! And you will have someone else to play Brink with as a bonus. :slight_smile:

I think it’s time to let people have the dlc, I didn’t know the specs of what I was getting and didn’t want to preorder over the internet so I could get it on release night. When I found out the greeneye scope was a COGA scope that had was easier to see through, had more peripheral vision, and less of an equip penalty it literally made me angry that they made such a clear advantage available to only SOME players.

I hate when devs give powerful things to only some people. How insane would people freak out if the carb9 and the rhett were both preoder bonuses but only from random internet sites? Everyone’s cool with not letting other people get the other dlc when it leaves them at an advantage. I’d rather pay for it than just not have any way of getting it.

Do you guys really think that gamestop made some in game items and gave them to SD to put in the game? That best buy made the scopes and gear and sent it to SD in a flash drive? NO. Splash damage made all of this stuff, then purposely took it out of the game to sell back to us. We are all sitting on 95% of the game content atm, almost no one has the full game we payed for.

yea buying the game 4 times just to get 100% of the content that should have been on the disc at launch is exactly what they want you to do. I assume this is the primary reason they aren’t releasing the preorder “bonuses” as dlc.

Nope. I was making a suggestion to the previous poster specifically who wanted the Greeneye Scope. Asking for pre-order bonus post title release runs counter to the whole pre-order business model here. You aren’t fighting SD, you are fighting the machine and the man. Good luck with that. :slight_smile:

they have the ability to give it to us or make it available to buy, that’s what almost every game that gives multiple preorder bonuses do because THAT’s how you make the most money. SD just isn’t and I want my greeneye scope.

I pre-ordered the game and I still don’t have as many cookies as those who pre-ordered at the place where they gave the greeneye and that other gun. They should give all the pre-order bonuses to those who already have one.

I’d love to have the Hockler MP and the Caesar revolver.

I actually might buy the Spec Edition and just sell my copy to my friend. I got the Psycho pack and wouldn’t mind getting the Doom AND Specops (esp OPS).

If anyone is desperate for the spec ops pack for pc I can get a UK copy from Game for less than £10. I’m happy to trade for a Fallout pc code.

It’s the only one I’m missing!
