Pre alpha of ET bots realised.

A first pre alpha of our ET bots is finished. In this alpha, only soldat with a mp 40 work, on the map oasis.

We made a video about 2.2 Mo, in zip format, only, download it, unzip this in your \ETmain\demo and enjoy.

You will see them, shooting, killing, moving. There are some bug that’s why this version wont be a public version at this time of the developpement.

Yes, it is a possibility that we made that like you said. But it is not real, it is really bots playing and as i wrote my name clan, if i wrote wrong things, my clan will be consider like a stupid clan, for anoncing bad things.

Be sure, those bots are real.

You will see them in a fews weeks i hope when a public alpha version will be done :slight_smile:

at this time of developpment, our bots are noobs bots… but when they get some experiences, they will be humans killer :slight_smile:

Well, i hope they will be really good AI players, we do our best to make them like that, with time.

at leats brand new ET players can play against them to get the feel and practise of fire fights and then experienced players can kill them when bored =P just about to watch demo

lol nice demo… whats there average accuracy? and it would be interesting to have a demo through the bots eyes… how many can be run off one machine? as they could be a good way for clans to practise fragging also i the demo if you put r_shownormals 1 you can see the bots run around the small rooms on the first floor of the fort lol its quite funny

At this time i prefer not to show what bots see, and how are their accuracy… secret?.. no :slight_smile:

just because tehy are on the “interrupted connection” all the time, and they look up, just because also that we have to clean up the SDK.

Who start with ET, could with bots, learn to shoot, to know the ET system, to know the game well, not as now, where “noobs” come in this wonderfull game without knowing anything on the game, with bots they will train us, to be better than right know.

This looks great! :smiley: I have seen alot of people without any good internet connection trying to find bots, and now they’re here! :clap:

Hope you give the project some time, and dont rush it, because these bots could be real great for testing custom maps in the end.

But i was just wondering, doesn’t the bots respawn automaticly yet? I saw you shoot all dead bots all the time…

Bots respawn automaticly, they have got their own way, with theiçr own ways points. This time waypoints are not definitivly done, but in test, to see if it is ok, or not.

There are some bugs right now, that’s why, as i said, that there is no public version, we hope do it as soon as possible.

We’ve got a good work and done it for all ET players, low connection and the others. :slight_smile:

=>Yes, we set ways points to bots, to be right, we set node points, more powerfull ways points system.

This is test for now, we think we will allow players to make their own WP in the futur.

Bots also know how to reload their weapons, but dont ask amo or health.
