Other interessting details for who want to kill some AI friends (wich never insult you), we can add in a LAN Server, to 15 Bots. In a Internet server, less, to 6 Bots.

And be sure, it is really funny to kill them with panza, or flame, or air strike :slight_smile:

And, what i like, even if i respawn (a very little time :slight_smile: ), is they never kick me or ban me from the server by votes or others : i like them :slight_smile:

do you use existing ET waypoints system in maps? eg fueldump which has hints for sniper positions, objectives etc.

or did you write your own from scratch…

they spent a long time looking into the sky, everytime they shot they seemed to crouch down for no reason, also they would run of ledged and into walls and they would all congrigate there, at one point there is 3 of em in a little ball. other than thats its coool

=> No. We use our own way point system call node. That’s more powerfull and usefull than waypoint.

Actually, they look the sky cause they are looking for their father (me :slight_smile: ) but sure, in the futur they will look only at you.

But, playing with bots is really great, as i did not play for a long time with those bots, i can train my self shooting.

By the way, as this version is a pre alpha, all is not- completed, but show you, bots are a reality now.

Can I make a suggestion?
I think there should be possibility to script the bots like give them a features and common behaviour patters to make them different from each other. I am thinking that you could do scripts for a bot team and make bot clan wars To see who is the best bot scripter.

To make it little bit equal every bot should have scritp file where like 10 points should be assigned to bot abilities like:

aiming 2
moving 3
…etc.

and different patters and patters pairs in percent like:

defend 90%
attack 10%

What do you think?

I think that you are in the right way, to think that, because we want to make a real AI for each bots and for each classes of bots of course.

Right now, we are not working on bot’s behavier/AI, but more about WP, move, reload, shoot.

In the futur, the bot’s behaver with the developpment of the AI, will be really think and test to make them as good as possible.

The script is used, now, for the behaver between 2 WP, and for now, very simple.

lol seven_dc you could make your own little armies no need for real people in your clan just have you and bots (you lonely lonely person) haha but that would be a great feature in the future although it probabaly wont be accomplished for a whileee, I don’t see why its so secretive about there accuracy etc although at the moment they may be betas and you dont want to release stats that show them at the moment incase you can improve them but as the demo showed they are quite good shooters once a while and they will crouch to add accuracy right? but can’t wait till a public comes out as it will be funny to fill up a server with my army evil laugh lol

We can add in a LAN server, 20 Bots and play well, in a Internet server, 8 bots and depend of your computer, so in a LAN server, sure we will have a very big army :slight_smile:
