ive got these binds that i use most:
Mwheelup = wpnslot 5
Mwheeldown = wpnslot 6
Mouse3 = wpnslot 3
L = Revive me!
P = Heal Me!
O = Call An Airstrike !
I = resupply the squad
they are very usefull if u gotta defuse a dynamite then u dont need to look after the plier just scroll down and if u get attacked while defusing you just need to press the mouse wheel down and u got the weapon there
NOTE: for those that dont know mouse 3 is when u press the mouse whell down
Post ur good binds here
These could be useful to a medic too. I have several times dropped a grenade instead of revive-needle :moo:
I have a TON of binds.
All of my F keys, all 5 of my mouse buttons, my entire numpad, all but 2 of the main section of keys, and my scroll lock ALL do something.
Most are vsay’s, team chat’s, class binds, spawntimers - the works.
I think you’ll find the more RTCW/RTCW:ET you play, the more you realise the key in a team game ( and simultaneously the bottleneck to better play ) is communication. The vsay’s in RTCW and ET are brilliant - but still no-way NEAR conclusive and complete.
I know at least several of the guys in my clan have weaponslots bound to scroll UP/DOWN and the side keys on their mice.
Some of the more original binds I use that are actually helpful are:
bind 1 “say_team ^1MEDIC ^5can’t reach you! Tap out!;vsay_team commanddeclined”
bind F10 “say_team ^5<<<<^1enemy c-ops has [^3MY^1] ^3 uniform!! Be careful;vsay_team enemydisguised”
Some common one’s you haven’t mentioned include:
bind F11 “say_team ^5Objective going ^1SHORT!”
bind F12 “say_team ^5Objective going ^1LONG!”
…and variations along the ‘<<<enemy at this position’ or ‘enemy sighted’.
I’ve seen people use map-specific binds before too, but this is very rare, as learning 20 or more binds PER MAP is an even steeper learning curve, and voice-comms are often close enough in speed, clarity and detail to inform teammates. For example, on mp_base in RTCW, I’ve seen ‘TUNNEL RUSH’ ‘Coming high over tower’ ‘Coming low through spawn’ binds in clan games - but they’re rare.
