PC for it’s Modding Community: “If it’s not right, they will make it right.”
Poll: What system are you Brinking on? PC/PS3/Xbox
@Kryptyk Samurai
It’s just funny because it shows people are buying and using not what is best but what they feel pressured to use through either their peers just just perceived value.
Consoles offer one control type, I like to have a choice of both type and variety, the PC offers that.
Yes, graphics aren’t everything until you’re justifying the next $600 console purchase then they’re the most important thing evahhh!
Still I like to be able to have higher res textures, better draw distance etc, these are usually the first two things that consoles sacrifice.
Which is easier, clicking an icon or going to where ever you keep your game discs and finding the one you want then putting it in the machine and loading it up. Didn’t we used to have No-CD cracks on the PC because this was so lame?
I have all three consoles BTW. Really enjoying Shooter 2 right now and bought Undead Nightmare. I just prefer gaming on platforms suited to the game and that’s why I’d choose the PC to play Brink.
Pc for me.
And about those who feel they should play on console because all their friends do:
If you would rather play pc, then by Carmack, do so! It’s not like you will be playing alone, plenty of potential “friends” out there :stroggflag:
PC of course…
but i only have one friend on steam who preordered this…so add me good people of ye old sd forumite…
So far since I started this poll I’m not surprised PC to be on top, but I was betting for sure second place was going to reside with PS3, hell it’s only been demoed at shows like PAX and CES on the PS3.
I don’t know if this has been answered yet but, will the Consoles even get a split screen option for local co-op/vs?
Granted that doesn’t mean that the consolers wont be playing with there brothers on their corresponding networks, But if people are going in assuming that they can play Brink the same way they play Halo with out official confirmation they might be in for disappointment, and may want to reconsider going in for a PC version.

no split-screen for consoles
There’s a reason that the MLG elite in Halo (which has a significant aim assist that pulls me off of an intended target as another moves through my line of sight) will destroy those who are not at their level. They are good for a reason…and aim assist isn’t the reason. If that were the case, all console gamers would be great.
Dont you think its ridiculous that even the best console players dont aim by themselves…kinda makes you wonder why a huge company like microsoft or sony with huge funds would design a controller, which means that the most popular genre of game is unplayable without software assistance…
The controller wasn’t designed for FPS’s, they came to the consoles after the controllers were pretty much well evolved.
I have a PS3*, but I don’t play any FPS’s on it, I can hardly aim with a friggen mouse much less using my thumb to joggle a stick! Believe me, I tried a couple of times and gave up in frustration, I can see how aim assist is a must.
*I have a set of Roland V-drums hooked up to my PS3 via a midi controller that I use for drumming in Rock band.
Eugh I was wondering how long it’d take for this thread to be a PC vs Console thing.
I’m choosing PC cause I suck at FPS on Console. If I were good at it I’d probably buy a PS3 and Brink on that and play on both.
I’ll be buying both PC and PS3. The console is probably where i’ll mostly be playing MP. Dependant on controller playability on PC. Not a k/b fan for gaming…
hahaha offcourse PC.
Do we PC gamers now get something extra in Brink, like for example all the preorder kits already unlocked?
Guess it’s time to start the “PS3 friends wanted to play Brink thread - SIGN UP HERE” thread.

So was I…
I’m getting it for PS3. Though I might get it for PC too at some point.
- majority of “consoles” belong to PC owners. not vice versa.
- players with ability to Choose - where to play, enjoy it. and nmbrs will clearly said thats will be PC in ~80% cases.
Xbox 360
My money has better uses than buying this type of stuff: i7 930 || Radeon HD5770 || 6GB DDR3 1333MHz || 1TB HDD | Realtek HD || Asus P6T SE
PC gaming goes beyond gaming and into buying hardware / overclocking. And if you don’t upgrade that hardware you are playing games at LOW settings. If that’s your thing, it can be a great hobby. I left that behind when my custom PC pretty much became obsolete a year and a half after I built it. I still have love for PC gaming though.
Xbox, although I prefer Mouse and Keyboard (Not M+KB…) I would rather play with my friends who either don’t play on PC or insist that Macs are trash… I mean superior… how many ellipsises… ellippsi… multiple ellipses can I add to this sentence…
…
Funny to see some console choices based not on a strength of the platform but peer pressure or perceived ease/cheapness.
PC for me, I enjoy flexibility of picking and adjusting my controls to fit me. Pushing the graphics and sound as far as I want. Being able to access my game at a click of an icon on any PC and not have to search around for a disc. And also all the mods, maps and open community features I can pick and choose over. Also hopefully faster patches!
Im cheap for spending $400 on my xbox 360. What person do you know from age 10-17 can afford a gaming computer, if you do know a person then damn that fool is spoiled.
- Been playing it for over 3 years and I have a good group of buddies to play it with. I have a decent PC setup expect no video card atm. Even if I did I probably wouldn’t get it because I don’t really know anyone that would get it for PC.
