Strength of platform is not important to some if the game delivers fun…and hey if your friends are all playing football but you want to play soccer…guess you could choose to be lonely. Cheapness? Last I checked, other than certain special editions, PC games are about $10 cheaper than consoles…but if your pockets are fat, all the power to you. And yes, I’m aware you were referring to the cost of a console vs. the cost of a legit gaming PC. Still, consoles have allowed more and more people to join the ranks of gamers. Yes, at the cost of quality to the PC gaming world if they port from console builds (BLOPs anyone???)…but blast the company for choosing that method. They are out to make money after all…they are businesses and if they don’t make money, they don’t stay in business.
Irrelevant for Brink as Splash Damage have implemented customized controls for the consoles too.
Can’t argue for pushing graphics, but gameplay is more important for me. Also, the graphics in consoles, while not up to par with PC’s, are not too shabby IMO. In regards to sound, I may not be able to modify (other than say…adjust levels for effects, game, voice, and music…if the game supports), but I’ve recently picked up some Tritton AX 720’s and I’m hearing things that my 5.1 just didn’t allow me to.
Organize much??? Really, you have to search for a disc? I remember losing a game here or there when I was 8 and my nintendo cartridge went missing. Oh wait, you probably didn’t play nintendo because it was a console. Just kidding, just kidding. That being said, I’m pro-Steam and I’m getting Brink on PC through them.
