No. Go away. It feels so good. Now monkey-mercs can’t jump-spam shotguns.
You can shoot, and are still faster than other mercs, without jumping, you know?
As much as I bunnyhopp from panic at some times (when low on hp, and trying to run away)… This is one of the best nerfs, cause if I want to fly and destroy things while in air, I’ll play Angry Birds, not Dirty Bomb 
technically, you destroy stuff the moment you’re no longer in the air in angry birds…
If you didn’t fire while airborne (outside of a few circumstances where it’s still valid) before the new patch, this change doesn’t affect you much. You can still jump to evade/escape. It just can’t be relied on to keep you alive while your bullets randomly hit somebody which happened more often and more reliably before the change.
Basically, if you were panic firing and jumping all over then this change hits you hard.
combination of shotgun nerf for the minimum damage from 5 to 1 and jumping accuracy nerf results in some funny scenarios. You hear headshot sound indicator but you deal literally no damage point blank distance. Which is why I hate shotguns and their state today.
Buffing their range effectiveness also seems pretty stupid. I am not too sure what the devs are trying to bring with this.

It was needed. I dunno if it was too much because I never use shotguns in this game but it definitely needed something. I can’t recall how many times I have been killed from 100 + metres away by a shotgun when I’m lowish. The range they had before was way too much for a shotgun.
@FalC_16 to be fair I was getting dinks with shotguns and 1% damage before the patch XD but kinda glad not have to deal with annoying (and effective) bunny hoppers.
I don’t mind the shotgun jumping nerf so much as I do the sniper jumping nerf.
There was no need to nerf Snipers from jumping.
I don’t like not being able to ADS while jumping though, that should come back.
SD works on mysterious ways, like when they buffed Nader to 120 health out of nowhere, or when they were buffing shotgun effective ranges more and more with every patch, even though they were pretty fine.

This. Shotgun jump shots are close range and have bullets with a huge spread. Sniper rifles need precise aiming and this nerf makes it ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to jumpshot.
I don’t know what to say. I played counter strike for many years. Jumping while sniping was always impossible (I mean it was possible but the shots would always land randomly). Even when moving and sniping it was impossible. Counter strike logic makes sens to me and now Dirty Bomb is assuming it. They should keep this change and buff vassili at a different point. Dunno.

What I am trying to say is, we need to nerf shotguns range and at the same time improve the spread point blank distance. Which means, point blank they would be very effective, while mid to long range the damage drop off would be significant. That is exactly how shotguns work in every other game and also in real life.
Jumping and shotgunning? Why not! That’s how they are meant to be played. God I miss the good old times playing Half Life and using shotguns there.
