Please remember the map

I have played a map in the past on enemy territory and now I run a server I can’t remember it’s name but I want to use it on my server. Here’s the description:

The whole map seems to be shaped like a horseshoe, it is either an airfield or a giant hanger with many many types of planes (easily 20/25 planes total). It has walls around the whole map. As allies you had to fix a tank, escort it while it blows through 3/4 barries or gates until at the end you are confronted by 2 command towers. 1 of the towers has maps or documents which you have to get to the radio room located above the axis spawn. I was told it might be an old rtcw map redone for enemy territory but I am not sure.

I aint played rtcw but i think i have sawthat map in a video. Im near certain it is an rtcw map judging from the description!

On Assault you have 2 Towers and planes (but not that many), but you got to blow them up, also there is no tank (unless you played the real icky early version of Assault for ET, which was done with a desert-setting and sucked badly).

But if you played the map, you still should have the pk3 in your etmain folder, and you can host all those maps yourself and thus find the right map.

Btw. if you like RtCW style maps, you should try TheRiver II Redux :smiley:

Well I have been playing enemy territory since the day it was released, I have my original cdkey as given by pb and every single map/mod you can think of. My et directory is over 3 gigabytes in size and contains about 300 maps from betas to finals … its not surprising that when I start a server from my pc to look at the files it will only show 40 maps at a time. I presume you are talking about Airfield Assault? Nope it’s not that. This map was pretty dark and although for the most of it, it is outside the whole map is in the airfield/hanger and is on tarmac/concrete not a shrub or blade of grass anywhere.

I think I have the one you mean on my computer some where.
I’ll look into it this evening.
It is the kinda assault rtcw but then with a tank and longer etc.

That was right on the nose, It was exactly the map I was looking for and so far everyone seems to like it. Thanks for your help and if you fancy playing the map pop to my server ALIENZ 212.187.247.46:27960 if you come in the morning when it’s not busy I will skip to the map :wink: you only have to ask :slight_smile:
