can anyone help please

i m new to running a server and want to install a new sound pack onto it but am running into some troubles.

i ve installed a new skins pack and it works fine but when i go to install the sound pack it does not work.

the server is etpro and i upload files using an ftp program.the sound pack that i m trying to install is a pk3. and i ve removed the old one and rebooted the server.

i know the pack does work as i ve got it from another server that it works on

What you mean removed the old one? You had a different sound pack on it before?

make sure the pk3 starts with “z_”

i did have an old sound pack in that the last server admin was using.

i ve just tried using a file that starts zz_sound 1.0 .pk3. and rebooted and still no joy the weapons sound like peashooters :frowning:

i ve put it in et/main although i m running et/pro is this ok

I believe you must put it in the etpro folder.
I think maps go to etmain and modifications go to etpro.

If that doesn’t work, give us a file listing of etmain and etpro.
