Vassili asked me (since his english is not good) today to let you, SD guys, know that “Thank you veri mutch, sirs, for my new Mischa rifle!”. He had also problems to shoot from his previous gun because he smokes heavily and he couldn’t control his breath properly before. Now he can and I saw him scoring multikills yesterday. He looked quite happy again.
He also stated that he is however still waiting for his smoke grenades and disguise clothes sets.
Please gief Vassily some powah!
I really like the improvements done to Vassili after the patch but…
What I still liked to see is properly working quickscope and proper hitreg… the more I play the more I think that there is something wrong with the hit registering. I’ve thought about recording my view but haven’t done so because of the nda, so i haven’t been able to revisit those shots to confirm if it’s just my crappy aim or crappy hitreg. OFC I acknowledge that most misses are really just crappy my aim but still.
The zoom is also too much for most situations in these maps… I find myself more than often zooming near the target so that I cant no longer see the guy through my scope and have to find him again which leaves me dead 99% of the time… maybe a variable zoom? Adding a zoom step that is lets say half of the zoom sniper currently would give Vassili a lot more playability on these small maps. This is partly because the quick scope isn’t working. Now I have to scope early if I want my virtual bullets to fly where I point.
Sniper has atm too much damage I think… I would stress aim and speed over the random shot to the toe leaving the guy with ~less than half of his health.
I am personally still missing the hipfire shooting ability with rifle - well, the ability exists but you can’t hit anything, dunno whereupon it depends, perhaps too large spread unscoped?
And yet at times i can get a full blown hs unscoped. Surely it shouldn’t be accurate enough unscoped with current damage but perhaps… lower the dmg when unscoped. I know it’s unrealistic but balance wise it should be feasible.
we’ve tested this while it is possible to hit something unscoped it is very random…we had a distance of normal close duel of few to ten meters. But you are right sometimes i get no scope hits and hs’s too. This also happens when guy is no where near the center chrosshair…

The hold breath to steady is just very annoying mechanic. You push shift and if you release it accidentally or unnoticed or you need the finger on some other key like ctrl while scoping the scope starts to sway more than if you hadn’t pushed shift in the first place.
Sway without shift feels bit too excessive (could be the randomness of the swing). To fix this maybe put very little random swing or make it regular pattern.
Also no-scoping is pretty useless even in very close range… we tried some duels with it and i think I hit myself more than the my friend. I have no opinion if this should be fixed or not atm.
Very annoying feature for me is when you scope in and shoot too close together you get the magnification with the accuracy of no-scope. This makes the class really hard to play effectively for me because its the way I shoot when the guys start to get too close.

There are other stuff that I don’t like too much graphicswise but they affect every class but since I’m at it.
-It’s really hard to distinguish guys from the backround with my old eyes ;;
-And the gun although I like “my gun’s bigger than yours” 1/4 screen is bit too big ;;

Just saw this, and I pretty much agree with everything said. I the scope zoom does seem a little to far for CQC (Which I know it’s not meant for, but it’s fun to try!) and Iirc the QW sniper had a minimum zoom of 1x which felt just right for a minimum. In DB the zoom feels like it’s ~1.5x which isn’t to bad at range, but when you want to run around the map being a “hyper sniper” it’s feels like to much.
Not to bothered about no-scopes as they’re complete luck when they happen (or you’re rex and his magical no-scopes…) But it would be nice if it hit when someone’s directly in front of you 
Also having problems telling enemies from walls/bushes etc which is kind of annoying, but that’s what a good sniper does right? Blend into the environment and make people rage?
Like jopojop, I’m a tad QW bias as it was one of my fav classes to play and I haven’t played ET/RtCW.
