I think potty and other players mentioned this before, i think it got worse: ( prob. because canary is grey over and over )
Please add more color to the player models!
I think they would be more distinguishable if you turned down brightness/gamma a little.
r_gamma 5000000
wut? there are team colors? enemies glow orange or blue for me
SkeletalMeshLODBias to -2
The models do seem more difficult to distinguish this patch, not sure if the ‘glow’ has been toned down or something, but that’s definitely my feeling.
That said the OP screenshots do look pretty extreme in terms of the gamma settings.
Wow, I mean on my config I see them properly but I have all graphics options enabled.
Have you tried to use a higher resolution or to enable the shadows ? This tend to help to identify the enemies for me

The dark screen was taken from “High” Settings.
Ive been playing with high gamma all the time, but this time it really kills all player model color.
Red Team, Blue Team
works for EVERY GAME.
Blue, Orange works for every movie.
Cold/Warm is what SD is going with because that gives them freedom in creating (purchasable) content as well as allowing players to distinguish between classes better.
I have a feeling this is more of a lighting problem than a player/texture problem though. The lighting in Extraction is still terrible.
enemy models should be distinguishable no matter how low/high video quality is set.
When will continue to work on player identification stuff, to try and improve it more, but bloody hell your gamma is waaayyyyy too high in those screenshots
I’m not sure there is anything we could do that still wouldn’t be washed out with those settings at that distance.
Yes it was more the gammas fault.
But: I did not touch the “DisplayGamma” in the Config. It was set to 3 or something?
With DisplayGamma=1.4, its much better.
Can anyone else confirm that the game set the gamma way to high?
Wow, what’s wrong with those screenshots? It looks completely different from my experience, though I’ve seen many others posting screenshots with those wierd washed out colours!
