To ring 2009 in properly and in style, we here at Splash Damage are going to be playing a few rounds of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars with the PC Gamer UK folks tonight. It all goes down tonight at 7 PM GMT (that’s 8 PM CET and 2 PM Eastern) on PC Gamer’s own ETQW server. Best of all, it’s all open to the public (until the server fills up, at least) - all you have to do is join the PC Gamer Steam Group and drop by the group’s chat channel tonight where the server password will be revealed. Happy fragging!

Also that’s lame for me, since I’ll still be here at work at 2pm EST.
Plus I don’t imagine my ping would be anything to be happy about, playing on a UK server. Have fun! Sounds like it would be awesome!

Come on SD, Please, make few matches for old times sake in W:ET. The community would love this and everyone would feel proud that the designers of W:ET have not forgotten about us and can still rock in W:ET.

Plus it’s always been my dream to play with SD developers W:ET just like sage has :cool:

If you make it happen you are my favorite developers team 4 ever :slight_smile: (Just like now)

We had a great time, and are keen for more. We’ll definitely keep everyone posted when we do something similar. However, there are two points to bear in mind:

A - What with SD doubling in numbers, not everyone here worked on ETQW. So an SD clan tag does not necessarily indicate ETQW experience (although obviously it can be relied upon as a mark of exquisite Finesse, Taste and Swellegance).

B - Many of us who did work on it have become very rubbish at playing it. OK, mainly me. But don’t get your expectations up.

Someone talked about getting a splash damage w:et server back up again - and make some sort of a tournament.
Would be great to have some games on community maps and a fun league.
