Pistol customizations?
yeah but…I’m still antsy about increasing weapon damage…I mean it could work, but i’ve just seen it messed up so much i don’t know if i have faith that you can increase damage without unbalancing the game.
Pistols aren’t good enough in a lot of games :[. They need to beable to finish the job!
I think extra barrel length should be accuracy and how fast your draw your gun, silencers should decrease accuracy. The game should have extra-quick pistols with accuracy suitable for room to room combat.
Clip size should effect reload speed and how fast you can pull out your gun. i think the speed in which you can switch to your pistol should effect your knife speed as well. the pistols you get should vary to machine-pistols, revolvers, and tradition semi-auto pistols. i think there should be multiple bullet types for your gun to add customability. Larger bullets slow down shooting, have more kick, require more clip space, and should make the gun bigger(slower draw speed). piercing bullets go through armor more easily, and blunt bullets make it more difficult for the person your shooting to aim.
A flashlight attachment would be cool, and if flashlights made it hard to see when you have it pointed near your head would also be cool.
Throwing knives would also be cool, i want a mechanic in a game similar to COD modern warfare, where you press g to throw a grenade, but instead it throws a knife quickly.

.17HMR isn`t a stopping round, you would be restricted to 50 meters or less at the very best. An upgrade from 5.56 to 7.62 would be better imo
I imagine you will be able to add scopes to pistols, and perhaps extend the magazine of the semi-auto pistols. And suppressors.
And putting a bayonet on a pistol is a terrible idea, even for a highly stylized hyper realism video game.
Hyper realism does not meant gunblades. It means exaggeration of reality. exaggerate the size of a guy’s chin, another guy’s nose, exaggerate the tattoos, exaggerate the size of a revolver (the caesar revolver for example). It doesn’t mean putting a bayonet on a pistol. That’s terrible.
A longer barrel could increase accuracy and reduce muzzle climb while slowing your aiming speed slightly.
A suppressor can increase the rate of fire, depending on what kind of gun it is mounted to, some smgs have a faster rate of fire becuase when fitted with one. Suppressors can also reduce range, but not accuracy.
I dislike the idea of changing ammo as an upgrade. You have several submachine guns in this game-- the Carb9 for example. Logically, you should be able to change ammo for that gun if you can change it for your pistol, because they probably use the same cartridge.
Logically, SD can incorporate any gun design they wish, as the game is set in the future.

Do you have any qualms with the knife attachment that relate to gameplay? I don’t care if they tape it to the gun or hold it to the side ala CoD; I don’t really care how the thing works if the usage is solid.

I just don’t understand the pistol bayonet thing. I think it is an awful idea and I think it looks stupid.
Because it is weighty, unbalances your gun, your pistol doesn’t provide enough leverage for stabby-stabby, where would you holster it?, etc…
However, the idea of carrying a tactical knife in your off hand isn’t stupid, attaching it to your pistol is outright retarded though.
true i guess its not really necessary, and i cant find a reason why it would add gaeplay value, i was just throwing out ideas

a tazor gun attachment would be pretty cool on a pistol (i dont know how they would do that but it would be pretty sweet)
throwing knives are cool but call of duty already has that… and scopes would be cool to put on.
and some one said flare gun i think thats cool cause if u shoot some one they light on fire 
i think it would be cool to have a choice in knives, for style you know, get some sick gnarly looking blades to tear up sum fresh flesh with

How about we put a knife inside the pistol, throwing knife shot from a magnum = awesome. What? Realism? Sorry, I’m all out.
How about an ammo modification that allows you to shoot out in rapid fire a bunch of pissed off midgets that go around kicking all the enemy in the balls?
