Pistol customizations?

We’ve heard about the different types of scopes, magazines, and other stuff for regular guns but what about pistols?

What would you like to see for pistol options?

Personally I would like to see upgraded clip size, knife attachment, small scope (like the one on the pistol in Halo 1).

I want an ability to shot tapir and / or hammer (etqw’s one) and/or chainsaw with my pistol

Using a pistol will already allow you to wield a knife at the same time, so a knife attachment doesn’t add anything. IIRC: pistol will enable knife, 2handed guns will have gun-but as melee action.

I know, but maybe the knife attachment could speed up knife speed or knife damage, in turn for not switching as quickly

I figure the norm:

extended mags ( only by a small amount, my goodness some games think extended mags means going from 12 bullets to 20, I mean like 12 to 16. It reduces reload and switching to times as a negative for attaching it.

Silencer: obvious.

longer Pistol barrel: for game sake, decreases Recoil by a slight amount. but as a penalty increases switch to time.

uhh most pistols are 9mm anyways so I wouldnt see putting a mag of .32’s in there to be a good thing. as it would destroy the pistol.

im no weapons expert.

Its said that knifing will OHK unbuffed lights, so maybe with the knife upgrade you can OHK buffed lights or unbuffed mediums or something (so little is known about knifing its hard to say what could make the attachment useful yet not overpowered).

I actually have a neat idea for the knife attachment, if you switch to a pistol with knife attachment it cuts you, causing you to take some damage.

flare gun? gps bug? tranquilizer?

I think gag weapons would be cool.

how would any of those be useful though?
A flare gun to show everyone (enemies) where you are. A gps bug that marks there positon i guess could be useful. Why wouldn’t you just kill them instead of tranquilizing them?

damage over time. single target wall hax (limited time ofc). slow movement.

I think the Operative can get a “homing beacon” skill, where they can plant a bug on a player and track his movements.

Perhaps a variety of munitions they have already talked about having different kinds of munitions, I say something simple like A.P. rounds or maybe debuffing bullets that slow/DoT/visually impare the opponent and then fundamental upgrades like extended clips/flashlight(you never know?! you may need it) maybe arm brace to help accuracy/firing mods like burst/full auto. Knife attachment to basically make a quicker stab but not more lethal.

How about:-

A “This ***** will ***** you up” dart which over the course of several minutes displays fake opponents, alters FOV, adjusts various sound levels etc.

A “The Smoker’s Club” bullet that does less damage than a normal bullet but has a small area smoke screen effect with poisoning bonus.

while they seem like they would be fun too mess around with i think it would be more effective to just shoot them in the face rather then just slowing them down, DoT, blah blah.

They had something similar to this in RtCW shrub mod, where the medic could poison an enemy. The view would go blurry and move all over the place, player was hard to control… lasted about 30secs to 1min, can’t remember.

I hated the poison needle mods…it had players playing Medic just for the poison, and not to actually play as a medic. It was a little overkill what they did to you - blurry, disorienting vision, DoT, and the controls were all reversed.

I lolled at ‘alters fov’. You’d get VERY disoriented if your screen was wavy and the fov changing all the time.
