Picking who wins the culprit case event

This event is just kind of cruel. lol

  • One merc will get a nice new skin.
  • Too bad if it isn’t one you play.
  • You can only buy one case anyway.
  • With a nice RNG 1/9 chance of getting a decent loadout.

We all want new skins, and I’m sure most of us have preferred mercs. But I guess it’s too much effort.

Also worth mentioning, SD already knows who the most played/favorited merc is I’m sure from their Echo program. So chances are this is already done and did, it’s probably Proxy or something, and they’ve already made the new skin for her.

Otherwise, say they preemptively made new skins for all the mercs just in case they’re the most preferred during the free rotation event. But then they choose to only release one because fuck everyone else. Like that’d be even worse.

We’re waiting 5 weeks for them to release one new skin for one merc like, wtf…

11/24/2015 was the last mercenary release. SD hasn’t released a new mercenary in 4 months. We we’re promised a steady release of patches. Every 2 weeks would be a fine tuning and bug fixes patch. Every 4 weeks would be a new mercenary release with fine tuning. Not bad SD, you guys respected that for a nice 2 months or so before giving up. Now we’ve waited 4 months and we don’t have the new mercenary out yet and that’s after mentioning that this long awaited patch would be released by the end of march which when I look at the date of today… it is now April 1st of 2016 and we have yet to know what the fuck is going on. We are just now receiving information on this patch. There’s one thing SD hasn’t failed to do yet and that’s being a disappointment.

After all that time… you’re gonna give us ONE special skin for ONE mercenary? This better be one hell of a fuckin’ skin.

I guess no .00000001 chance of getting any rng cases then. At least every one will get one then just hope they don’t make it hard to get instead or Like 100k+ reg credits to buy case

I said this in another thread, but they’ve only announced what one single thing on Aimee’s phone unlocks - the culprit case. There’s other icons, and so I’d imagine other things to unlock, some of them no doubt skin related. I’d expect some kind of regular event skin like we’ve seen in previous events alongside this “special” one. Here’s to hoping they aren’t RNGd through the face, but who am I kidding.

Hang on, so the culprit case will only be for the merc that is found to be the culprit, and EVERYONE gets the same cards? I had gotten the impression, possibly because I’m a dumbass, that the player would be able to open it for a particular merc of their choosing, reducing the RNG element of the event cases. This also suggests SD want us to put our time/money into grinding this case for a merc we might not play or like? This sounds a bit bollocks :confused:

It would be so cool if they already had a bunch of skins that are remodels already prepared for when the event is over, but I don’t think they can work that fast.
I can dream anyways.

On her phone it looks like an extra case is blurred so I am assuming for the special event we can skins on other mercs sorta like the CW or WtD events.

And yep, I don’t understand at all the uproar, spouting virtual mouth full of foam “omnggngg 1 skin fur 1 merc only11!1” when even the first picture release of Aimee’s phone implies there’s at least 6 kinds of event-related goodies coming up. We’ve seen 2 so far, sheeshus crisp.

Not to mention merc release which we know barely anything of like how much has ability, weaponary and attributes of the merc been tweaked and so forth.

Want some salty cheese with that whine?

Personally i appreciate the fact that there is no RNG bulshit of 0.3 chance to get the card in the first place this time plus i wanted Aimée and for this i wont start ranting on the Dev this time.
I find the event kind of fun. Ill play the merc I want to get. You guys complain but on the other events you didnt choosed nor the merc nor the loadout and that is for those who even managed to get a special loadout. The only difference here is player can actually get one through credit. For me if you complain about that you are kinda spoiled.
Im usually the first to rant on the devs. But they try to change their way there, they did a huge social media marketing with hints and stuff. And they offer the occasion to everyone to get a special loadout card. I wont follow the ahte bandwagon this time.
