I think the SMG needs work, maybe tone that down, but other than that… good…

I don’t think he is bad balance-wise… though I find him way more annoying on maps I am an attacker on than defender. Too much just camping in corners. When defending it is much easier to see him coming.

With that said, I chose to remove him just because I feel like he doesn’t fit the game. The matches that have him in it just feel off, as if the game is a bit confused and not sure what it is trying to be.

I might also add reseting the cloak if he got hit before he can fully cloak so players can start using their guns more to defend themselves because from what I’ve seen so far Phantom players only use their melee.

I think the problem is that people have yet to figure out a counter play. Well, I don’t mean no one has, I’ve actually run against some guys who knew just where to shoot while I was trying to close the gap (or widen it in a tactical “RUN AWAY” strategy).

Incidentally I’ve heard that Vassi’s heart beat sensor breaks his stealth. I’d imagine that Red Eye’s thermal optics will break his stealth as well (or very least reveal his position) and I’m sure Aimee will have a counter play tool (which is okay because he most definitely is Vassi’s counter play and probably Aimee’s when she’s added).

That being said, I suspect Red Eye is the next Merc they’ll add.

This poll is so bias… 4 options about how hes too powerful and 1 for balanced and 0 for under powered.

You didn’t even try to be fair with this poll. I voted balanced because there wasn’t a better choice.

I think it’s going to be Aimee…[/quote]While I’m a fan of girl snipers (or girls in general) I’m not certain she’ll be the next Merc. After all she was basically a female Vassi, which means of the Mercs she needs the most work (as in give her, her own abilities to make her different from Vassi). Though I could be wrong, after all I suspect we’d see Phoenix long before we see Phantom (why did you have to kill him with a train, Sparks?).

The problem with Phantom is that he requires no skill to play yet totally ruins the game. People just hide near the objective, go invisible and then stab people in the back. There’s no skill in that and attackers who have fought hard to get to the objective are robbed. You may argue that is not how he should be played but that is how he is being used. And yes, I know, that’s not how you use him (says everyone) but if people think that is a good way to play the game then it ruins decent squad work on both sides and simply pisses people off. I genuinely loved playing this game until Phantom appeared and it’s not because I don’t know how to counter, but when people just stay still and wait, you have no counter.

I voted for op, but i wouldn’t mind seeing him off the game. Seriously, nerf that fuc***g clock because this game is not fun anymore.

remove him from game because you can’t fight back a ghost. don’t tell me stupid sensor thing there is never enough vassili on pubs and they don’t have to drop it to my way. when the phantom near you with katana you CAN’T kill him, when the phantom with best smg on your opposite you CAN’T kill him. you can kill every merc in this game with skill but phantom isn’t fair.

Lower his health pool by 10 and increase the cooldown of his ability from 6 to 10 seconds. Problem solved. Also most people are forgetting that when Stoker and Red Eye are in the game, he’s going to be much easier to counter.

Overpowered = Too Efficient = Nerf required
and Remove from the game is also kind of the same.
4 options are very close in meaning, against “Balanced”

voted the obvious.
if Phantom is not nerfed, then i demand Proxy’s speed back to max, like it was a year ago then we’ll see who’s OP!! =))

Well 68% of the votes either want a nerf or to remove it completly, let’s just hope the developers don’t take their sweet time before doing it.

Doesn’t seem too strong, haven’t had a problem dealing with Phantom yet as Arty. But most of them were gung-ho sword slashers, a smart player using the kek would probably get too much out of the shield.

Slightly increasing the cool-down on his shield would probably make things feel a little better.
