The new invisibility for phantom is making a lot of people mad. What do you want?

Idk, he is a bit too visible right now, even noobs can see me standing. But before the patch, he wasn’t visible enough, so I suggest in between.
Another suggestion is based off of one of your poll choices. Having him invisible and his weapons more visible is actually a good idea.

As much as I would like it not to go down this route, due to the way the game works…I’d say take a hint from Spy in TF2.

Give him full cloak, flickers when shot, no cloak drain and no armor. But a few more distinct differences

Cloaking time is 1.0 seconds, decloak is 0.5 seconds, and cloak drains according to movement, the faster you move, the faster it drains, but it does not recharge while in use. This way you can choose to use it defensively and stay cloaked for a longer period of time, or use it offensively and move fast to get into position to start wreaking havoc.

Just my take.

Agree to invis as before, but no damage-shield. The ones, who didn’t see him before, are probably to overwhelmed, and won’t see an uncloaked objective-carrier nowadays, too. Nerfs are quite ok (not 100% sure about the kek, as he is the only real non-support/engineer-class(make it damage-class) using it, but ok…), minus this f u c k e d - u p meelee-sense s h i t.
All written in my opinion of this class beeing a stealthy one, not a real assault one.

Yea but doesn’t recharge when you’re taking a piss in a corner

I’d say it’s more like the Tribes cloak just not able to attack until your turn it off.

Idk, the thing is that, if someone identifies him, Phantom is pretty much dead meat especially if he has his knife out. I recommend just like 10-20hp on the shield.

Yeah but teamplay and crossfire should kill people.
Yes, you could make him totally invisible, but that would give him, without seeing him beeing played this way, of course, to much power. I think?
So make him 1,2,3,4,5% more invisible? Don’t know, sure would take time to sort it out.

Either needs a longer time being invisible, or a cooldown reduction for the ability.

They can’t make him more invisible because everyone is blind in this game. I’d rather focus on his shield actually being useful

10 Secs cooldown is okay. But he should be nearly invisible. I would have no problems with having no armor while being invisible, but actually being invisible.

Back to the way it was before when sprinting/moving normally. Almost completely invisible and extremely hard to see when crouch walking. Completely invisible when still. No shield.

Completely invisible, or the visibility changed depending on how he’s moving. What’s the point of a cloak if it can be seen?

If he is made completely invisible he needs to have to decloak to attack, or else suddenly you’ll hear the sound, but not know where he is until he’s already got a hit into you.

From what people are saying, I think this might be good. What about full or close to full invisibility whilst standing still, walking, and crouch walking, and less invisible while running or jogging. Guns and melee are more visible then the rest of the body, damage shield still in play, but less damage absorption (50%?) , and make the cool-down in between what it was and what is is now. (8 sec max maybe?).

I’d like to see something like this:
Same stealth as pre-nerf, when moving.
Nearly fully invisible when staying still, or crouch walking, but emitting a slightly more noticeable humming sound, when nearby.

The poll is about the invisibility but one of the options isn’t just about invisibility but the shield as well.

Since there’s no good option to vote on I’ll say that I definitely think as far as visibility goes it should go back to how it was. As a cloak it’s useless now, it’s only a shield. Unsure about giving it back the damage protection or not, it’s not in too bad a place right now but I’m not sure if it’s in the perfect spot either. Need more time.

Less visible would be great. I don’t even play him and I complain that he’s too easy to see now. Even standing still you can find him very easily.
As long as we keep his non-immunity to mines, I’m happy.

Maybe make something between this visibility and earlier one.
