Phantom Invisibility

(JonSnow) #21

Less visible but no armor.
He does not have an ability to cloak. Now he has an ability to turn black (when running that is)…

(titaniumCrouton) #22

Why do people keep saying this? He does decloak on attack. He doesn’t stay invisible while he shoots you lol. He needs to go back to being much more invisible, because even before they nerfed it he was super easy to spot. Remove the armor, give me actual invisibility.

[quote=“BanditFleshpound;53808”]He is too visible now. More like that picture

Maybe make something between this visibility and earlier one.

I think there is a cat, but I can’t see it… https://33.media.tumblr.com/c89d6881cb8521296764c329375ba152/tumblr_mlccekw8xI1rs4wdho1_500.gif

Why does that gif keep getting posted. Or am I going insane.

Proper optical camo(no this stupid shimmering, practically invisible when still, but can be seen when moving), no shield, battery-based charge with slow recharge rate and average capacity(cancelling cloak with some charge left makes recharging to full that much faster, also allows activation without needing to have a fully charged battery, but do need at least 10% of full charge to activate cloak due to increased power drain in initial stage of cloaking).
Non-manual decloak(like being hit) overloads battery and drains most of remaning charge(50% of it), and also prostpones regeneration start based on amount of charge burned out.
And, as alredy mentioned, battery is drained based on momentum - extremely slow when still and fastest drain while sprinting.

pre patch invisibility plus a little bit more would be nice
maybe it louder to compensate

Raiden would disagree with you.

(Porky) #29

What if he had another ability to use shield without invisibility but does not make him invulnerable just resist more damage. Only one active at a time of course or maybe with a delay between switching them.

(Ghosthree3) #30

Seems clunky.

Raiden tips his hat to Sam, which is good because we all know what happened last time. http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111138772/3593519-2217284695-tumbl.gif

What I meant is if he is invisible he should have to decloak and then be able to attack. Not decloak if you attack, but before you do.

Basically he’s asking for it to be like the Spy in TF2, where you can’t do anything until you’ve decloaked.

Whereas in the game currently, you can do anything you want, but any action decloaks you automatically.

The 4th option should be the most popular suggestion that pops out in the comments on the forum and reddit which is exactly “no damage protection, slightly visible”.

Phantom needs to be full-fledged stealth class, not a tank with pseudo stealth mechanics.

(oG_Dayton) #35

Have phantom with the same shield and damage absorption now and stealth from pre nerf that would pretty much make his stealth viable again. Other than that I like what the shield does now ( pretty much a bleed through a effect) which seems reasonable.
