PC Population

[QUOTE=NigelDocker;350992]Nicks a troll, and you have clearly stated that you trolled a troll, and have been petheticly attempting to troll a troll with the standard old ‘u mad bro’ and pictures.
You may like the game like me, but to say your not a troll when you have even said yourself you are [trolling a troll] doesnt make you not a troll.
If you troll a troll your still a troll.
even if your attempt to troll is obvious troll and fail troll

Trollception bum bum bum

Btw, I’m only trolling (Imo it’s not trolling. Just not being nice) delusion people or who bring in insults to an argument. Yes my first post was insulting WN, but thats because he REALLY WAS DELUDED. Like just saying “it’s design, its design its design” Or the one that made me laugh was where he said that brink will be alive on pc after a few years, because only old games are on top.

(Jimmy James) #82

Doesn’t that actually make him a meta-troll? (The horror!)

To answer the OP’s question

Save your money. If you are really keen on getting the game, have a bit more patience. The game will be in the bargain bin by the end of the year if not sooner.

Your not trolling anymore, but you were before.
Just saying how he claimed he wasn’t trolling, when erlier he even said himself that he got banned for trolling a troll, and now clearly trying to troll and failing hard hard lol

it’s not even on the list… :\ are there really less than 300 people ? sigh :frowning:

(NigelDocker) #86

Wow… it has.
Ita been roughly the same as alien vs predator recently -.-
And yeh… its not even in the top 100 atm… not looking good

(nick1021) #87

How the …

What caused it? I mean homefront (which imo was even worse. FAR worse then brink) has a much higher peak then brink, and it’s older by a few months.

Wow. I guess it’s the summer sale. We didn’t need to wait until bf3 or skyrim came out. The summer sale killed it.

(NigelDocker) #88

Must just be Bethesada/SD keeping quiet and messing their customers around.
What do they expect… just shut up not speak with the people who bought their game that are waiting helplessly for the DLC which they expected would already be out…
its been dying rapidly ever since it was out and if it doesn’t pop back into the top 100 tomorrow or soon then it will be pretty much dead.
And bethesda/SD are doing nothing to help… infact probably causing it by p1ssing on their customers faces with smelly yellow cable

(TwwIX) #89

The population’s been dropping steadily for weeks now. This is hardly a surprise. The game needs to go on sale and it needs to go on sale NOW! A fifty percent price reduction is the least that they can do.

Relay that message to your masters, Splash Damage. If you still have any backbone left, that is.

(kilL_888) #90

peak today shows 780 for me.

keep in mind though that there are the steam summer sales currently.

modern warfare 2 and bad company2 in particular went up a lot. bc2 was 7.50euros (10 incl. vietnam addon) yesterday and the day before. would i have known this i probably, maybe, would have bought it myself.

so, i guess lots of people currently play the big mainstream titles.

for me personally, brink gets more and more fun everyday. there are still enough full servers in my region (europe) to choose from. though, roughly 30 servers with 2+ human players is pretty low in comparison.

(Kurushi) #91

You can buy Brink really cheap if you look around. It’s well worth it if you can find a bargain

trolololol

really, again asking you to work for 3.95 an hour makes sense?

why should they?

sales will always increase the market for movies and games right now is kinda down the drain, (cept call of duty apparently)

People always say about the peak, the sad fact is it very rarely reaches its low peak and doesnt stay there for long atall, an for the most of the time has less than 400 players

When ppl ask what the playerbase is, its not just to see if they’ll be able to find ppl to play with, you’ll always be able to get into games with ppl on PC (console is a different story…)
But its to see how much support and future conent the game will get.

A game with a very low player base doesnt get the support (Future patches, Tweaks, changes) or maps a game with a medium or high playerbase gets. Its the sad truth.
6 months or 1 year down the line the devs arent goingto waste time and money on making new maps and further improving the game the best they can, they need to make money… and making map pack that not enough ppl would buy would waste them allot of time and money for the sake of the few thousand that actually still play their game.

Its only been only 2 months and its already ghis low and sits firmly below alien vs predater which was realesed AGES ago and didn’t exactly do very well…Not to mention Homefront…

The market for computer games the last few years and recently is BOOMING and the best its ever been… hence the tons of games coming out recently, more than ever. when theres demand theres product

Its not like any1 is buying the game new at the price its at, theres tons of 2cnd hand copies. If they want more money any more ppl to play the game then a price cut on steam cant do bad…

(nick1021) #95

its all about security. TF2 went free. And they put a lot of work into that.

I recently bought oblivion (HUGE game) and ALL of it’s dlcs just for 8 bucks. And that game (and many other games one sale) is doing better then ever.

This is true but Brink did sell well at launch. People own copies of the game, people are waiting for something good to happen

(nick1021) #97

I still have my copy. I’m selling it as soon as the dlc comes out and I play it for a day. And I can assure you 100s more will do that. The release of the dlc will be the death of brink (it would of died sooner if there was no promise of dlc).

(Kurushi) #98

I can live with 100s. The rest already have it tied to Steam :>

I thought you were on the PC version; this would explain a lot

(NigelDocker) #99

It solld well at launch due to all the advertising and hype, but was rapidly traded in, even in the first week alone 1000’s were exchanged for la noir. and more so after. The amount of second hand copies three are is astonishing, and the price for them shows it

(Kurushi) #100

I could expect this on the console version. Brink is quite a twitchy game, movement is essential, playing on a pad really cripples your movement - it’s not half as fun moving around with a pad.

Without the freedom and speed of mouse movement I can see why people would believe Brink to be like any other shooter.

I’m not trying to start a mouse vs pad debate but Brink was clearly developed with fast aim and movement in mind. Brink’s still okay on the consoles but a lot got lost in translation
