PC DLC is downloading right now!

(FireWorks) #1

EDIT2:
There’s a smallish game update for Brink hitting Steam at the moment - it’s a compatibility update that enables support for Agents of Change (which is still going to hit PC today btw).
EDIT:
Just fail. It is only a 30MB download.

Its here… I think

(wicknap) #2

I think you’re seeing the 30mb update, not the DLC.

(Spendlove) #3

I got all excited and popped too… but it was just a small update :frowning:

(FireWorks) #4

Grrr fail… gotta delete it the thread:/

(to_few) #5

Yep log out > log in…sorted

(Darksider) #6

It’s updating for me at the moment. 28megs update

(murka) #7

I’m equally interested in what’s in this 30mb update?

(DLC out early June!?) #8

Failed thread is failed

(SD=Flagship) #9

they should just make it so every time you try to open brink in steam, a spinning head of a clown laughing at you just bounces around your screen, and the more you click on it, the more heads fill your screen.

(badman) #10

This update enables support for Agents of Change within Brink. The DLC itself is still coming to PC today.

(rushzone.com) #11

But no gameplay changes coming with the DLC then?

(SD=Flagship) #12

no support for spinning heads of clowns… :[

(Smoochy) #13

when? its already 7pm.

with steam’s excellent download speeds @ peak times maybe it will be ready by 11pm? isnt it 500megs?

(Spendlove) #14

Actually it made me lol.

But then again I am like a 5 year old pumped up on sweets I am that excited about the DLC dropping.

This is standard for a Steam release. Their offices are in America. It won’t be peak time in America when it’s released.

Whenever something is getting released via steam always assume you’ll be playing a day after the release date just to make up for Valve time and download craziness at release.

(Smoochy) #16

hmmm

last time i used steam it was a cracking 17k/sec!

(badman) #17

As soon as all the pieces are in place. Valve are handling deployment for all Steam stuff so this is happening on West Coast time.

(murka) #18

well the 30mb update just arrived at 1.4MB/sec so i doubt it will be a slow download, you should get better net.

When I played Wow in 2005, we had this saying: “Never play on patch day”. Guess its the same in many other parts of the industry.

(Smoochy) #20

says just updated again?!?
