PB Gives Hell.

well this is the problem :
im runnin Wolf ET 2.60b , when i play with the punkbuster off ( not updated )
the game runs fine .

but when i activate it (not updated) it drops my fps to 20 every couple of secs for less than a second .

and if its updated to the last version , im runnin ET.exe , and it just gives the “send/dont send”
error , saying :ET.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

my PC Specs are:
System:
Microsoft WIndows XP
professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 2
Video Card : Nvidia GFORCE 8400 GS
Computer :
Intel® Core™2 CPU
4400 @ 2.00GHz
2.00GHz , 3.00 GB of Ram.

ive been looking for a fix for 2-3 days now , cant find ****! and im gettin pissed , already lost my esc button.
if you need any more information tell me , and please add where can i find it .

if im running pbweb.exe from the C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\pb direction.

did exacly what it said , still gave me the "send / dont send " error
so i completly removed Wolf ET , Reinstalled it , Installed 2.60b patch , did the manual update
when i entered ET it said my version is 1.152|A0
i typed /pb_sv_restart in console nothing happened

Okay i did what you said , deleted the old ET , installed manually the updates but their not the newest , and it still gives me the the problem that the game stuck’s .
when i try’d updating it with the pbsetup , it gave me again the “send / dont send” error.

by the way , the problem is 100% pb , when i enter with SLAC , it dosent give me the “send/dontsend” error.

Or some Anti-virus, firewall problem?

nop , PB Problem , i turned off my anti virus and fire wall still does the same , read first post.

pb_sv_restart is server command and not client one…

Try to follow this:

and then update pb services.

See if issue exists there after.

if completely removed is equal to deleting hole et with all its subfolders then its fine… else do that and reinstall PB. Update it…

Delete the PB folder in your et Directory, download pbsetup.exe as shown in hellreturns links … do that stuff, should work like a charm - But delete first the old PB directory!
