PB 1.036 = lag ?!!???

erm… this new PB client claimed to fix some minor lag issue… except that I had no lag with 1.035… and now with 1.036 I get these silly 400ms pings for 5-10 seconds on otherwise 50ms servers… I’d call them lag spikes but they last too long… this happens on every ET server

and these are the same servers that were fine yesterday, with the 1.035 client… and my bandwidth is there, all 200k/s of it, and q3 and rtcw don’t seem to have any problems… they both use 1.034 PB

what the… ???

is anyone else having this trouble?

hmm I got the same… Expected it to be my isp tho, cos it broke yesterday twice… Might be a combination of ISP + something else? :bash:

that worked for me too, but I’m not real happy about it

hopefully this “temporary fix” will not turn into a “permanent solution”

Version 1.037 of the PB Client for ET has been released to our PB Master Servers for auto-update and to our website download page.

Release Notes for PB Client v1.037:

  • Fixed bug in v1.036 that may cause increased network traffic problems on some systems during gameplay
